I am not trying to throw everyone into a panic here but I have to tell you a story and share something.

Tonight I was packing the kitchen as I am moving next week. I noticed mold in one of the cupboards. I have smelled something funny lately and checked under the sink as well - more mold.

For some reason, I googled mold/pregnancy on the internet. What I found out made me feel so many emotions.

Mold is a big contributor to miscarriages. My 2 losses have been while I have been living in this home. Before I lived here I have never had a problem with loss. I am not saying that the mold is what caused me to lose my babies and maybe I am just reaching for answers but it just makes sence. My headaches have gotten so much worse, depression set in worse since I have lived here, I have been more forgetful... almost all of the symptoms that are listed in the articles.

If a pregnant woman lives in a home or apartment which has a serious mold infestation problem, there are at least three potential and serious health threats: (1) mold-induced miscarriage of the unborn child; (2) mold-caused birth defects; and (3) serious health problems of all types for the mother-to-be.

Here are some articles to back up my thoughts:

Just felt compelled to share this with you.

Ohhh my!! Sorry to say, but I hope this is it soo you have answers and can move, and have your healthy pregnancy mold free! I had mold in my apt a few years ago, it would make me sick, headachs, mood changed. Once I moved out of there, I was fine. Actually me and my ex were TTC for 3 years there, and ended up breaking up and moving. I started dating someone else, and got pregnant 3 months later (new apt)... I wonder!

That is so scary! I'm so glad that you are moving!

Hopefully we won't be TTC until we move out of this apartment, just in case there are any nasties in here that I don't know about. This building is REALLY old!

I hope that once you are out of the moldy place that your TTC issues will be completely resolved! Baby dust coming your way, how many days until moving day?
