I bought a pack of OPKs about a week ago but wasn't planning to use them for at least one more cycle. Well, DH went out for a run today and I was supposed to be doing homework (instead I was on JM). And I had the brillant idea to go try out one of my OPKs. I was sure it was WAY early for me...I think I didn't ovulate until CD 19 last month. But, I went and POAS and I got a SMILEY FACE (i love digitals). My first try! I'm sooooo excited.
Question: Should I worry too much about trying to entice DH to the bedroom during the day today? Or do you ladies think tonight would be fine? (DH is kinda a funny guy sometimes about DTD in the middle of the day when he is trying to be productive.) Help! What to do...

Have you been DTD up until today? I was aggressive with my BD....we DTD before bed every night until I got my positive OPK and then we switched to the late afternoon & DH came home for "lunch" the next day for some afternoon delight. We did 2 more "insurance" BD's the next two evenings. I figured by switching to the afternoons we were getting double coverage, hehe.

We have been DTD but in the morning...and then of course, we didn't DTD this morning. So last time was now more than 24 hours ago. Crud..I hope I didn't mess this one up. I really just didn't expect to O so early in my cycle.

Well you O 12 to 36 hours AFTER a positive OPK....so don't worry. Honestly, I would try to get a BD in this afternoon and then keep up in the morning until its negative...and then the "insurance" BD's, hehe.
We went serious about DTD....I haven't felt like DTD again until recently, hahaha.

You should be okay by BD'ing tonight, but if you can, why not suggest dessert before dinner tonight?
Good luck!

grrrr...just as I suspected....DH pushed me off. Rejected! (well, sort of). Somehow, DH convinced me that I should workout first and my reward would be DTD later. It just so happens it's 90 degrees here today. So, 1 hour and 7 miles later...I'm DEAD. So now it's me who will have to muster the energy for later tonight.

Oh jeeze...what a night. My "UPDATE" is that DH and I got into a nice little fight last night. I ended up sleeping in the guest room because he was being a punk. We'll today we made up and had make-up sex (the best kind). BUT, I took another opk and got another Smiley Face this afternoon. I know it's not impossible to get 2 in a row, but now I'm also worried I might just be one of those women who have high LH all the time (I have PCOS). So now, I'm beginning to not trust that smiley face. I believe I'm losing my mind...I'll give it one more day for the opks and see how tomorrow's looks. I am officially sinking into TTC insanity.
