As some of you may remember.. my dh had back surgery in Feb... (11 days after I had my d/e.) He was out on short term disability untill April 20, when he was released back to full duty... Well on that same day April 20th his was laid off... (never went back to work). DH has been out of work since. He applied for the Electrical Union a few months back.. he than had to take a test. DH thought he failed.. would of bet his life on it.. Yesterday he got his letter.. HE PASSED the test!! Now he has one more step he has to go through.. and that is the oral interview! That will be on July 20.. so please keep your fingers crossed he gets in!! This is for the apprentiship for te next 5 years.. (even though he went to CHI for electrician) This would mean a little bit of stability for us..
This was the first time since he was laid off.. I saw a little hope in his eyes!!!

Congratulations to him for passing the test! I am a horrible tester and get so nervous and always feel like I fail them. I hope this is the stability you are looking for!
Recently my oldest son froze up during an oral interview and ended up not getting the job. I googled job interviewing questions and have been practicing with him to help him gain self confidence with answering questions in person and feeling more relaxed during an interview.
