Where do I go from here? I was only 6w when I had my M/C (yesterday) and already my bleeding has slowed. now to near nothing, and I know it can pick up again but what do I do after it stops? will my cycle be normal? should I temp? I was thinking of not temping but will I actually O? Will my cycles be anovulatory? should I wait? I wasn't going to wait since I wasn't very far. Do i need to get my levels checked regularly? or a u/s to make sure everything is out? Does it take longer to get pregnant? Is it more likely that I'll lose the next baby too? How long does bleeding last for??
Obviously ANY information about this is appreciated.

i'm sorry for you loss. i'm relatively new to this board, too...
we found out at 8w3d that there was no heartbeat, and i chose to have a d and c the next day. my bleeding stopped before i even got home from the hospital.
i just finished my first post d and c af, and she showed about a week late. i'm pretty sure i ovulated-i didn't temp daily, but took enough to notice the thermal shift. we were told to wait one cycle before ttc, but from what i am gathering, every doctor is different. i was told that i was now at a higher risk for another loss, since i've now had a loss. my ob also told me if/when i get another bfp, she'll monitor my hcg.

In April I miscarried at 8 weeks, and our little one had stopped developing at 4/5 weeks.
I bled for 2 weeks..and was still lightly bleeding and getting positive pregnancy tests so they had me do a round of Mispopropal because it meant I was retaining tissue. That worked and I had a follow up ultrasound & pregnancy test to make sure I wasn't retaining any tissue. I wasn't and I got the all clear to try again.
We decided to wait one cycle. The "waiting" cycle, I o'd about 2 weeks after the last day of bleeding and then AF showed about 2 1/2 weeks later. We got pregnant with this pregnancy on our first cycle of trying. From everything I've read/been told, one miscarriage does not put you in a higher risk at all. Or even 2 - its 3 or more that start putting you in a higher category.
I hope I answered some of your questions....again, I am so sorry for your loss.

Hi hun,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, everyone's body (and doctor!) deals with this differently - so you'll get a wide range of answers! Basically, many women O after the miscarriage (but not all). When/if you do, it could be delayed. I temped, and did detect it both times. So it's possible to get pregnant again before you see the first AF (which could be anywhere from 2-8 weeks after bleeding completely stops).
Bleeding can go on and off for weeks. It's difficult to say when it will stop. Some people get their levels checked after a loss, but not many. If you want to keep track, you can take HPTs periodically until they give you a BFN - that'll help you know when your hcg levels have dropped to 0 and when you're body should start to move on. I think they only do an U/S to check on things if something goes wrong. If you start bleeding heavily (more than a pad an hour for several hours), then you would need to go to the ER and have an U/S. I hope that that doesn't happen though!
Different doctors say different things about ttc again. I think the bottom line is to do it when you feel ready. Good luck to you hun... and keep the questions coming if you have them. The ladies on this board are so helpful!!!! I don't know what I'd do without them!

I'm sorry for your loss.
I had my loss @ 9w6d. My Dr. did do an u/s to make sure that all of the tissue had passed. I bled for about a week after the loss - but it was light bleeding. I'm sure I O'ed before AF, but wasn't charting or anything. AF showed 23 days after my m/c.

Where do I go from here? I was only 6w when I had my M/C (yesterday) and already my bleeding has slowed. now to near nothing, and I know it can pick up again but what do I do after it stops?
will my cycle be normal? it may be, or it may get messed up a lil...mine is messed up, but I had a missed miscarriage and carried an empty gestational sac for quite a while
should I temp? if you want to, def...some women find it too stressful. others like to (I like to)
I was thinking of not temping but will I actually O? you might...you might not...yours was an early m/c so you probably will O (but if the littlest thing disrupts your cycle, you may not)
Will my cycles be anovulatory? they could be but again since your m/c was early, probably not
should I wait? I wasn't going to wait since I wasn't very far. I would talk to your dr about that...some say not to, some say wait 1 month all the way up to 3 months
Do i need to get my levels checked regularly? probably not, but again up to your doctor
or a u/s to make sure everything is out? your doctor might want one, but again up to your dr
Does it take longer to get pregnant? from what I've heard you are supposedly more fertile after a m/c but everyone is diff...I was one of the unlucky ones
Is it more likely that I'll lose the next baby too? probably not, but it does depend on how many you've had, family history, etc that is why some drs have you wait but no proof to that
How long does bleeding last for?? for me it lasted 2 weeks, but it was 2 weeks of HEAVY bleeding...again I think from the m/c being missed for so long. it varies for everyone
And I did want to say again, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you get your sticky bfp very quickly.
