Hello, ladies. I'm new here so I thought I should share my story. I'm Brooke (25), DH is Brandon (30) and DD is Jillian (will be THREE in October). After TTC #2 for 4 months, I became pregnant in May. I, unfortunately, lost the baby on Father's Day two-and-a-half weeks ago at around 8 or 9 weeks. I had a natural miscarriage with no complications. My doctor said that we could start TTC again right away if we wanted to. At first I was very scared to try again. I didn't think that I could handle another loss. Now that's it's been a couple of weeks, I feel like I just need to be pregnant again. I am still scared to go through another loss, but if I don't even try I know that I'll never hold another baby again. I am willing and ready to take the risk now.

I have read that ovulation usually occurs about two weeks after a miscarriage. I know that everyone is different, so I don't know if I have ovulated yet, but going by the "usual" I should have ovulated about 3 days ago. DH and I DTD last night and the night before, so I think that IF I DID ovulate when I "should" have, then there's a good chance that we could conceive this cycle. I guess we can only wait and see, and keep trying in the event that I haven't ovulated yet.

Anyway, that's my story. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi Brooke... I had a m/c on Father's Day as well, and because my period was messed up from b/c, my best guess was that I was 7 wks along when I lost the baby. I am ttc this month as well and was really confused as far as when I would ovulate. We have been dtd about every other night for about a week... :-). I was thinking about buying an ovulation kit, but thought that it might have already come and gone. Not sure.

I am sorry about your loss... it's definitely tough. My doctor actually told us to wait 3 cycles, but I am being a rebel and ttc anyway. If something goes wrong, then I will feel really bad, but if most doctors want you to wait to be emotionally ready, then I think I am good. Physically, I feel back to normal with negative HCG levels.

Good luck, can't wait to follow your journey with you!

Welcome to the board...I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I completely understand your fears of having another loss. I've had 2 losses so far and am hoping third time is the charm for us. But, it's hard to shake the feeling. This board has offered a lot of great support when I was down.
