Hi, I mostly lurk these days, but I've got a new TTC plan I'm excited about, so I thought I'd share.
I have PCOS, and had to use Femara, a fertility drug, to get pregnant with my son Ethan. He was stillborn in February, so we went back to the Femara for TTC. Two failed cycles later, I am switching to Intra-Uterine Insemination. I will take Femara again this cycle and maybe get pregnant that way, but we are planning IUI for next month.
I was miserable today, because it was my son's EDD and AF showed. I saw my fertility doctor (I always do on CD1) and he immediately told me that he doesn't want to make a grieving mother (or anyone else) wait, and we would move right to IUI.
IUI is a giant pain in the rear. Daily blood tests and doctors visits. Plus I would have to miss some or all of my family vacation. But my doctor thinks that IUI will give us a really high success rate, and that's what has me excited.
Of course, it could cause multiples
