since I've already posted 2 replies! I'm Amanda & recently had my first loss on July 1 (I was 11 wks 3 days). I recognize several of you from the pregnancy loss board but there are several new faces in here so I thought I should introduce myself . I've been lurking a bit since I am not officially TTC yet but hope to be in or around Oct (my OB said we could try again in 3 cycles). I would love to try before that but doubt it would happen without my OB's help. I tried for about 3 years before getting pg with my miracle baby with the help of Clomid. Soon we will be trying for another miracle baby but I do have hopes that the next time around may be a little quicker since I got pg on my first round of 100 mg Clomid last time so I'm hoping that's the magic number for us & we can get pg soon once we start trying again... I guess we'll have to wait & see.
Anyway, nice to meet you all!

Welcome hun! I hope your TTC journey is short. I was on Clomid twice with no success so we are trying on our own for a little while more!

nice to meet you Amanda!
So the clomid thing-I've been wondering what the risk is of multiples on that. My family has loads of twins. DH and I've been trying almost 2 years now without any sticky beans. I'm thinking about going to see an REI of some sort but was worried about clomid and multiples. Any thoughts?

I actually just got back from my post-D&C check-up & the dr said I look great! I'm not tender, which he said was great news & he had a look of "WOW" when I told him I only took 1 pain pill after the D&C & that one was only b/c I didn't want to wake up in pain. He said also that the conception items that remained after my m/c that they removed with the D&C didn't show any defects, there were no signs of this being a molar pg, which is good. I should start AF in 2-3 wks & then we can try again after 2 cycles (starting with AF when she shows). Oh, & he said that it may be easier to conceive next time around after the m/c.
Frangipani, I've always heard that the risk of multiples on Clomid were small. Some sources say 20%, others say 5% for twins & the chances of having triplets or more is even smaller. My pg with the help of Clomid was a single baby but I do know another mom who got pg shortly after me from another board who took Clomid & she's expecting twins.
For me I'd be happy with twins, it's only when we get to the chance of triplets or more that I may have to really think about it. I'm taking it b/c I have a progesterone defect which essentially means that I O fine but my uterus isn't *ripe* enough to allow implantation which the Clomid corrects allowing me to get pg.
HTHs & that you get your BFP soon!

I know we have chatted a bit in our pms, but wanted to welcome here too. Im so sorry for your loss, and hope that your miracle baby comes right after your 2nd. cycle. My name is Lori and I have just started my 4th cycle since my loss. Hopefully we will get the same DDC and have perfect babies!

Thanks ladies! It would be great if we all got pg at the same time & were in the same DDC! Life's just not fair, is it but one good thing is coming out of this loss... I have met some wonderful people after my loss that I probably wouldn't have met otherwise! You ladies are really wonderful... I've been reading posts & you all support each other tremendously & it really shows. Sorry, I think I am a bit emotional this morning!

Hi Amanda! Looks like we're posting in three of the same boards now! I hope you get your BFP soon! You can always TRY to get pregnant without the help of your doctor, so I say why not if you feel ready?

Amanda! I'm so glad to see you here!
I joined a long time before I was planning on TTC because I wanted to stalk the PL ladies who began TTC again. This board is wonderful!
