I would think to make sure you as properly healed, emotionally ready and easier to date your Due Date by your LMP since you *should* be back on track with your cycle? I was told 3mths with my m/c as well. GL!

Personally I think you can TTC again whenever you are ready emotionally. If your body is not ready, you wont get pg.

We were told to try right away... But as long as you had no complications.. it is for emotional reasons and to date the pregnancy. I wish I could give you a realy reason. Why to wait. Good Luck!

It's usually an educated opinion by docs. Some will tell you wait one cycle, others three, and some will tell you start whenever you are comfortable. Usually the body heals fairly quickly but sometimes emotional healing can take longer. My doc asked me to wait one cycle but I told her I wanted to start immediatey, she admitted there was no physical reason to forbid it but wanted a way to date conception. I am using OPK sticks and keeping track so I can just tell her the dates. (if I conceive)

We were also told to try as soon as we wanted. I think it is totally emotional if it was an early loss. Good luck.

I was told to wait 3 cycles as well (and I had a natural m/c, not a D & C)... and my DH wanted to follow that advice (I didn't). I was emotionally ready, and wanted to BE pregnant. He changed his mind a week after the m/c... but we didn't get pg (guess my body wasn't ready). I just finished my first AF after m/c, so we will see what this month holds for us. Crossing my fingers and saying lots of prayers.

Personally, I was a little worried what the dr would say to me if I had gotten pg right after the m/c... thinking that if I had another m/c that the dr might say that I should have waited. I feel better that I had one cycle now, so I know my body is back to normal.

Follow your gut and your heart. Good luck and sorry about your loss!

My doctor told me to wait three cycles to give my body a chance to get back to a normal hormone level and uterus back to normal. Basically be back to normal and make sure there were no complications after the m/c. Probably a good thing since they did find a polyp a couple weeks ago that we would not have found if I had not waited. And could have increased my risk to have another m/c which I do not wish for. He also said to wait one cycle after my upcoming surgery to remove the polyp. After reading what they do during a D&C I can understand why. Plus your cervix needs time to go back to normal.

We only had to wait one then we did our clomid cycle and i got PG with this pregnancy, i think its mainly for emotional reason and allowing time to heal

I had a D&C last month and my doctor said I could start TTC again after my first post-surgery period (which came yesterday). Like the other girls here have said, in *most* cases, the wait time is for emotional reasons, not physical.
