just thought i would share my story with you ladies!
Well in december of 08 I found out I was pregnant and went for my first u/s at 6 weeks and everything was great, saw the heart beat. Went for another at 8 wks and there was no hb anymore( they said they would see me alot because I am diabetic and have been since i was a baby) Well , my diabetes has never been under great control but for a few months before i became preg. it had been under better control..and when i found out i was pregnant i kept it amazing. I had alot of lows though. Its been awhile since it happened.. i just dont know if i could go through that again but I am giving it a shot..Any advice ?

I'm so sorry about your loss. I had a similar situation with my second loss. We thought we were in the free and clear after that ultrasound when we saw the heartbeat. It seemed so unfair to me that they say your chances of loss drop to like 2% and then it happened to us. My losses, especially my second, just tore me up. It really took me a good 6 months to find myself again. Somedays I just wanted to be pregnant again, other days I didn't want to think about ever TTC again. Hang in there and just know that the days will be a little brighter with each one that passes. And, we are all hear to talk and listen on your really bad days.

I am so sorry for your loss. HUGS... Adivce.... my advice to you is this... (this is what I live by) While you might be scared.... our want to have a baby, that little miracle in our arms, out weighs our fear to keep trying. It is scary... you will see from my siggie I have had two losses... thier are many of that have two or more... But like Liz said hang in thier.. You have found a great support system here. We will be here for you when and how ever you need us. Welcome to the board.

I had two very easy pregnancies and have two beautiful daughters. So, when I got pg in Oct 08, I told everyone. I went on to lose the pregnancy and thought I would die from the sadness I felt. It is hard to try again...but look at what you want and need in your life. It is worth it, in my opinion. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I too had a beautiful strong heart beat at 7wks and at 9wks, it was gone. The pain is awful, it has been almost 4 months, and even though were trying again, Im terrified of a BFP. I have 4 children already from a previous marriage, and have had losses over the years, one at almost 14wks too. Eventually we find the strenght to go on, even if blindly. Sorry for your loss, and pray the next one is healthy and sits tight for you.

We also had a heartbeat. We had the heartbeat at 13 weeks. We thought we were in the clear. We found out at 15 weeks we lost the baby. We go back and forth about TTC but we are going to try. DH was unsure if he wanted to risk another loss but we have decided that the risk is worth the reward. I am so sorry for your loss but am glad you found us. There is also a pregnancy loss board (many of the same ladies .) Both boards have been super helpful in getting me through this difficult time in my life. I hope you find comfort and support here.

i'm so very sorry for your loss. i had my loss at around 6 weeks also, i went to the ER because of bleeding and the ultrasound showed an empty sack measuring 5 weeks. so i likely had a blighted ovum. I had a natural m/c in the following days. I think we are all scared of it happening again, but it's a fear we must overcome in order to reach our dream of having a little one. best of luck to you!
