so I will admit that I was hoping for a baby girl when I had the boys and was kind of disappointed for about 22 seconds when I found out kyle was a boy as well. But really now, after reading this post I seriously think these girls should stand in our shoes for a day, it would change their thinking.
The one chick is saying she cant eat and sleep because she is having a boy and not a girl... how they hate god because of the gender of their children. wow, this just blew me away.

I would happily trade places with them if they were game for it. Angry at God because there is a ween instead of a taco? Wow, just....wow. Girls are favored in our family (because there are so few of us) but no one would wish the child were born a girl. Shaking my head over here.

After having a m/c and now waiting 16 months + for another BFP, I'll take whichever I can get. Those girls need some perspective!

It's sad that the gender of their child means so much to them... if they hate God for giving them the "wrong" child, do they resent that child as well? How sad to think that a child might someday read those words.

Or do they resent their DH since it's his sperm making the decisions.
Its really sad that they can't just accept that they are blessed to have a kid and have to get so upset over it being the "wrong" gender. If you want to pick the gender so much, adopt. Or better yet....buy a puppy!!!

I didnt read the article, I didnt want to make myself sick! I cannot imagine anyone "hating God" because of the gender of their baby...hopefully they won't have to experience the hurt we have and live to regret those words.

ITA!
I couldn't bring myself to even read the article. I knew that it would just make me upset.

argh.. i have read those before.. the people with gender disappointment.. i guess we all have our crosses to bare but imagine how they would cope in our situations.... just sad that they don't understand how lucky they are.
i have a friend who has been ttc for something like 5 years.. she has had an eptopic which destroyed one of her tubes and has had many failed ivf attempts and she has said "boy girl or monkey - I dont care, just so long as bubs is healthy"

I can understand gender disappointment for a couple minutes after an u/s...but reading that made me sick to my stomach. All I can say is for the love of God.... put those kids up for adoption instead of raising a child they don't want!
I am SOOOO mad at what those girls wrote. If it means that much to them.... go do gender IVF. How horrible to not love your own child.

That post made me sad, not for her or others like her, but for us gals who so desperately want a child/more children, girl or boy. I agree with so many of what you have posted. I wanted to reply to her post, but considering how mean I'd be, I'll skip that one. My gf said the same thing, that she was disappointed that she was having another girl b/c they will have no more children (not long after my m/c), I wanted to scream at her. Hugs to all of us xx

O.M.G!! Those are the most pathetic, selfish posts I have ever read. If you know you are not going to love your child unconditionally, why have one? Or two?!! I feel for the boys....I hope they receive the love they deserve....maybe from their father at least.

I litterally feel sick to my stomach, and it could be the 14 months that it took to get the or the recent loss that I had, but I seriously want to find this girl and shake her and say are you seriously kidding me...snap out of it you stupid cow...you have two healthy babies where some can't seem to have even one! Disgusting!!!

It's just disgusting.....I hope that her son never stumbles across her post, or worst yet, that she doesn't articulate her feeling to him every day! I can't understand being so hung up on the gender of your child.....the sad thing is that so many people posted in response to her saying they had the same feelings....sadder yet was to read some of their signature tags.....

It really hurt when I read those posts. I would trade shoes with them in a second. I just want a healthy baby and can't imagine what makes them feel the way they do.

I think thet need a reality check.I can tell none of these women have had a loss or they would not be winning about the gender. They need to be thankful for a healthy baby and Grow up!!!

I read part of it and had to stop. I just couldn't believe they didn't want their child because of the gender. That is just horrible. I can't even imagine not wanting a child because of the gender even before my loss.
