I had a miscarriage on Mothers day. My first AF was on July 6. Before the miscarriage my cycles where very regular. Which if they where the same AF should have came yesterday. With my miscarriage I was getting negative pregnancy tests up to a weeks after AF was due and they where still coming up negative.Only one out of about 10 showed up positive. I also had a few strong pregnancy symptoms. The three that I noticed the most was a drastic change in supply, morning sickness, and smells. For the past week I have been having morning sickness, a change in supply but not as much as when I was pregnant before, and my sense of smell is very strong. I took two pregnancy tests which both came back negative. I am thinking about asking for a blood test on Thursday when I take the twins in for their appointment. It is a late 6 month appointment. Any other suggestions on why this might be happening? Oh any just so you all know I was not TTC. This would be a unplanned but not unwanted baby.

Im so sorry for your loss and that you find yourself here, but welcome. Your body even though pre m/c was very regular, can be a bit off now. Even though you have had a AF already, that does not mean that the next ones will be regular. Do you know when you ovulated this cycle? Maybe a blood test would help you at this point if you are confused. Good luck to you, I pray you are lucky enought to of caught that egg this cycle and its just too soon for a BFP.

I have no clue when I ovulated because I was not really trying at this point. I was hoping that I would be a bit off and that is all this is. It is just hard because of how strong the symptoms are. Sorry I am having a hard time writing this because I have a headache (which also happens when I am in the early stages of pregnancy) Thanks for the help.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss, you might want to get a blood test just to give you a peace of mind.

I'm sorry for your loss hun. I know how frusterating this can be. I had a normal AF after my second loss, but my cycles did not go back to normal. It happens, unfortunately. So - you could be pregnant, but you could also be having irregular cycles right now. If you know when you ovulated for sure, then you could clear that up - otherwise, you can definitely ask for a blood test if you want an answer now. If it comes back negative, I would wait another week or two before taking another one, just in case you ovulated later than you think.
I hope that it is a surprise BFP for you!

I would call the doctor and see about a blood test if you are unsure.

Sorry to hear about your m/c. Both pregnancy and irregular post mc cycles are a possibility. I would probably have the blood test done just to see what the results where.

yeah my cycles were all off for a while after MC. I agree with the suggestion to get a blood test. I got one just at an urgent care clinic since they didn't do them at my docs office. or, they wouldn't do it...

I am going to wait till Thursday and if AF have not come I am going to talk to my doctor about getting a blood test. We will probably get a blood test on Thursday and get the results Friday. It depends on how late the girls appointment is I can't remember when it is. We have the same doctor so it makes it easy. I might also call her in the morning and give her a heads up. She might want it done before teh appointment so we can talk.

I hope everything works out for you. Welcome to the board and I am so sorry for your loss. Cycles can be a little wonky after a m/c. But sounds like it could go either way with your symptoms. Let us know what you find out on Thursday.

When you request a blood test, ask for a progesterone test too.A progesterone level check will let you know if you have ovulated yet or not.Good Luck

Thanks I didn't know that. I will ask for a progesterone test but would nursing affect that? Sorry I don't know much about the different hormones.
