I am full of questions right now... and my next one is how do you act/treat yourself during the 2ww. Do you act as though you are pg or not pg?

For me I tend to act not pg (don't worry if I have the odd drink, exercise like normal and generally don't worry about the things I do) however, I do take vitamins and am relatively healthy all the time anyway. Just curious how everyone views the 2ww.

I generally act as if I'm pregnant, meaning I don't drink, take ibuprofen, things like that...just in case. This last 2WW I had drinks up until 4dpo and then stopped for the rest of the time. Although I know that a drink or two that early on will most likely not matter at all, I just feel like not drinking is the least I can do to provide a potentially healthy beginning. But I also don't think that you or anyone else who participates in banned-when-pregnant behaviors is doing anything wrong. Because let's face it, if we weren't TTC and monitoring our bodies so closely, obsessing over every cramp and twinge and slight variation in body temperature, we would not even know we were pregnant until we were late. And we would have most like done something that we were "not supposed to do" anyway.

And if AF shows up, then it's time for margaritas and hot dogs!!!

I have spent months acting like i am pregnant and missing out on a lot. Last month was one of the first where i didn't worry...and guess what I WAS pregnant. After over a year of trying, I know that I have to live my life as I normally would.

Now I will continue to take my prenatals and not drink quite so much...

I think I could go either way. With my daugher I went to a big tailgating party (and enjoyed myself) shortly before I found out I was pregnant. She is a healthy 16 month old now. Now after having my loss I think I will probably go to the other end and act as though I am pregnant during the wait. I do plan to have a glass of wine or two when AF comes though. Wine is good for your heart, isn't it?

I'm just living my life somewhat normally... however I have stopped taking 3 of my fibromyalgia meds since I was pg because they are potentially harmful (documented in animals it is, but not enough testing to know in humans)

I don't really like to drink anymore and that's about it. I have a pretty boring life I guess... I do cook for a living and work in a VERY HOT enclosed kitchen not sure what that would do other than dehydrate me and I drink tons of water

I usally act as if I am... after 7dpo... I think from now on.... I will have the out look... until the line is pink.... I am acting and doing as if I'm not.... I think now that I have hit the 6 cycle mark... and over a year of trying.... I am starting to loose faith. If it happens than GREAT!

I have in the past acted as if I was... however last cycle (the one where I got pg) I totally acted like I was not - just relaxed and treated it like any other week and did the things I normally would do. I don't drink heavily anyway but I didn't shy away from the occasional beer. I am doing the same thing this cycle.

I act as though I could be pregnant. While in my mind I make sure I don't get my hopes up too much, in my actions I guess I'm careful. I don't drink, take nurofen, discourage my boys from jumping on my tummy etc!!!

When I was pregnant with my first ds but didn't think I was, I took some strong painkillers for neck spasms. A week later I found out I was pregnant and I worried on and off that whole pregnancy that I had done something bad to the developing foetus. My baby came out and he was just fine, but I'd prefer to never have that worry throughout a pregnancy again!
