What is your 'plan of attack' for when you get your BFP??? I am ALREADY getting nervous about m/c again, now that I'm ovulating & know we could very well have caught the eggy this month. I THINK I will go to the doctor as soon as I get my BFP & get my progesterone & hcg checked.. I would prefer to not get my hcg checked, but I had an ectopic pregnancy & I know that if i don't know what the hcg levels are doing, that i'm going to be really paranoid about having another ectopic.......

My doctor said I should go in and see her as soon as I get a bfp, she will be doing ultrasounds and blood tests early on.

I plan to sit down, relax and do all those things my dr always tells me to that I never followed before. I have a post op in two weeks I am going to ask if there is anything special I should do. He will probably say no.

I don't know... with the roller coaster I am on right now I will more than likely call my ob's office asap! Get on top of getting things checked out right away and make sure my numbers are doubling properly. Then again, I don't know... that is definitly something I'm going to ask on monday.

I'll get into the Dr. as soon as I can. I may ask that she refer me to a Dr. that specializes in "geriatric" pregnancies (gosh that term makes me feel so old)! I also plan to drop to a 4 day work week.

Nothing for me, I plan to wait for my dr. apt. until Im 8-9wks. I do not want blood tests or early u/s's as for me it only adds stress and I have already had my progesterone tested and Iam all good there. So no real reason to go early. My dr. does insist on a 8-9wk u/s, I could not negotiate that one. I would prefer to wait until 12wks for one though.

I agree with Lori. There is nothing they can really do for me, so I would rather not have any extra stress and intervention. I would like an ultrasound around 8 weeks.

My doctor said he would do an early u/s but I think that's about it.

I just discussed this with my Dr. a couple of days ago. With my Dr/insurance (military), your FIRST visit is at 12 weeks with your first ultrasound at 20 weeks, which is ridiculous (although I did get one at 12 weeks last time because of my age and that's when we found out the bad news). I told them that was not acceptable and there was no way I was going to wait that long again and my Dr. agreed that I could come in at 6 weeks and start u/s then. I know it's for nothing more than my peace of mind, but there is no way that I can make it 12 weeks to discover again that there is no heartbeat and development had stopped possibly weeks before. I think if it gives you peace of mind to help with the stress of not knowing, early care is the way to go. Now the only thing left to do is get pregnant again.....

I think I will wait until I can take a day off for a hcg count and hopefully the #s will be rising this time around. Other than that there isn't anything else that can be done except hope that everything will be fine.

I will be going in and doing everything the same way as my last pregnancy.. Since it was a pregnancy right after a loss... I was brought in every Monday for Betas.. and than when I started to spot.. more blood work, I also had a progestrone level drawn at the first Apt. Than U/S at 6 wks.. than I was brought back in at 7 1/2 since the HB was slow at 6 1/2. So we will stay on the same plan of attack.

I will go to my ob straight away (which I always do) and get my levels checked and then checked again in a few days to make sure they are rising. I didn't do that last time as I didn't want to stress but I think I will stress more next time if I don't get them checked.

I won't be having an ultrasound until 7-8 weeks as last time I had one at 6.5 weeks and my dr couldn't find a heartbeat and we had another 2 weeks of hell waiting to see if there was a heartbeat and then if it would increase. We won't go through that again and don't want to risk it being too early to see anything.

Other than that I think I will just be terrified!
