So I am usually so regular. My cycle comes every 28 days and I always ovulate on day 13 or 14. I have had 2 periods since my last m/c and both were totally normal. This past month I am pretty sure I got a + opk on day 13 as usual. On day 20 I had strange cramping almost identical to ovulation pains. I took an opk just for fun and it was definitely +. What the heck??? So I was expecting AF on day 28 and now I am 4 days late. I took a hpt and it is negative. I have been having cramps all week. What the heck is going on? I have never been late before. I am so frustrated. I am supposed to have all these tests done on day 2 of my period but it wont come!!! ARGH!!! I am going to call my RE tomorrow to see what the heck is wrong with me. Why now?? I am hoping he will give me something to make my period come. Do any of you know what could be wrong with me now? I am so scared that maybe I am now starting menopause or something and I am not even 33 yet Any ideas of what this could be??? Thanks

There's so many things it could be...

STRESS will throw your cycle out of wack, so it could very well be making it late

you could have O'd later maybe too early pg for it to register on a hpt

You know your body best, but I would definitly call your doctor and set something up to explain whats going on right now. It wouldn't be anything for them to check your bloodwork and make a plan of attack from there.

OK... Let me try to get this straight.. and correct me if I'm wrong...

On CD 13 (maybe )+ opk... you bd... and than on CD 20 + (you are sure this one was +) Did you bd again??? Ok you are 4 days late...

If this is the case and you did get a + opk on cd20... you prob O'd on CD 21-22.. so right now you could be 10 to 11 DPO.. it could be too early to get a + HPT... even though you have had two normal periods.. maybe this was just a fluke.. like Celena said.. maybe it was delayed due to stress... I hope you get your BFP quickly!!! Good luck.. KUP as to what the Doc says..

It is almost as if I ovulated 2 x in one month which I know isnt possible. Maybe the opks are bad/cheap or something. I just want AF to come as crazy as that sounds, so I can get the blood work done and hopefully get some answers as to why I had 2 m/c in a row after we had a healthy child. What will my RE do??? Do you think he will give me something to make my period come (fingers crossed he will)?

What could have happened is that your body geared up to O, but then something happened (maybe stress) and it threw your cycle off ...so then you O'd a few days later for real. Or maybe you just implanted late and it's not showing up on a hpt yet. I would wait a couple more days and take another test if AF doesn't show up yet. I would make sure that you are pregnant before you take anything that will make AF come.

thanks girls. i just hope AF will come soon. i am so over all this. i just want to finish the tests with my RE and then if all is normal just chill out. no more trying or counting days or testing its all just too much. i think for me it will happen when we are not trying, assuming all tests come back normal. plus, i feel that my son is suffering amongst all this craziness and i need to focus on him.

I'm sorry hun. Most likely, it sounded like you actually O'd later than usual. In that case, a BFP or AF should be right around the corner. I'd wait a few more days and see what happens. I'm over a few weeks late for my AF, and my Dr. said they won't bring on periods until it's been 60 days (ugh!) because it's no so unusual to ovulate late (or not at all) once in a while. So, don't be surprised if they won't do anything yet for you either. That said, it sounds like you'll have an answer soon! I'm hoping for the best for you very quickly!

My cycle has gone a couple of days longer since m/c. The month I decided to start using OPKs (first cycle ttc after m/c) I felt encouraged the OPKs would help me catch the egg... well they continued to stay negative past my usual O date, but then when they started, I had +opks for 5 days. In the end I was sick of seeing the d*amned positives and trying to bd to cover ALL my +opk bases!! All 5 days they were DEFINITE positives - as dark as, or darker than the control line, but they can't have all been right.

While I'm not sure what's happening with you, I just wanted to say that maybe your body is still recovering from the m/c and your hormones are not sure what they're doing. That's the only explanation I could give myself for getting so many +ve opks that cycle. As frustrating as it is, if you got a definite +opk on the 20th, then you're probably going to have to wait til cd 34, as if that was your 'true' ovulation, af will probably only be due then. It is very frustrating.

It could just be that the test didn't pick up the BFP. I know you want AF to come but it is a very real possibility that you are pregnant. I didn't get a positive hpt with my first child, and then the doctor office only after I was two weeks late. My dr suspected we ovulated late that month for some reason. Sooo long story short you could very well already be prego and have no AF for the next 9 months . I hope things work out like you want them too and you get some answers soon.
