Since I know you've all been through this. I'm supposed to be 4 weeks pregnant today. I've had spotting since Wednesday. Yesterday when I tested my line was twice as wide and dark as Thursdays so I took that as a good sign. I went to bed at 1 am this morning and I had no spotting at all then. I woke at 5 am and I had more than I've been having since Wednesday but still not a lot. Now it's tapering off and it's red/pink.

I know if I'm miscarrying again there's nothing that can be done to prevent it but here's my question if I go to the ER today what will they be able to tell me really? They'll be able to check and see if my cervix is closed right? or not?

Is it worth my $100 copay to go? Part of me would like to go and get answers rather they or good or bad I just need answers. Then part of me would rather see my own OB tomorrow I know he'll give me better faster care than any ER.

What do you think ladies?

If you go to the ER, they are more than likely going to take several vials of blood, pelvic exam and possibly an u/s however only being 4wks they won't be able to really see anything except the endometrial lining.

It might be worth your wait for your doctor tomorrow, because he/she will know more about you and have a better treatment or testing plan.

Unless you are starting to be in allot of pain, cramping, fever, allot of bleeding then I would wait... tomorrow is almost here

I'm SO SORRY you feel like things are up in the air!!!

I would wait until tomorrow. The ER sucks and you will probably wait hours only for them to send you home. Good luck in whatever choice you make.

I would also wait until tomorrow too (unless of course you are in pain or start bleeding badly). There's not much they can do and you'll probably just end up wasting your time and money. I hope it all turns out good. Sticky dust!...

Thanks ladies!

More TMI but I also have a yeast infection. Could that have something to do with the spotting?

Maybe that's what it is then. Last night when it got heavier was AFTER I used my Monistat so maybe it's from irritation. I hope so.

I'll keep you ladies posted!

I would not bother with the ER. Not much they can really do except make you wait forever and tell you what your hcg count is at. Can't really see much with an u/s at this point. If you think you have a yeast infection that surely could cause some bleeding. Unless you are having cramps and pain, I would wait to call your doc tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything is okay!
