Hi everyone-

I experienced my first loss 2 weeks ago- I was 5 weeks pregnant.
My hubby and I are eager to start TTC again- my doctor advised me to wait a full cycle before TTC. From what I am reading on these boards it could be a week to 6 weeks before AF shows again. I know it would be the best thing to wait it out....has anyone TTC right after a loss???

So sorry for you Loss... HUGS... Welcome to the board.. I am Kary one of the co-hosts... I have... I got pregnant with two cycles after my first.. I am now on my 6th cycle since my second loss. I hope your BFP comes quicky! Good luck!

I personally did not wait be/c I just wanted to be pregnant again.We tryed 1 week after d&c and the go ahead from my obgyn.We were not sucessful and I finally got af 81 days after my d&c.That's 11.5 weeks.We are still trying and hoping.That is my experience.I did not wait.My doc gave me the go ahead 1 week after d&c.Every doc is different.Good Luck.

It's different for everyone... I SWEAR I ovulated just after my mc as I had EWCM and 2 days later I had O pains so according to that I should get AF next week midweek. (but there's a big long story I could type after this, but I won't confuse you)

Anyways, it's different for everyone... 4-6-8 weeks after your mc

Keep in touch with your doctor with any concerns

I'm very sorry for your loss.

AF showed for me 3 weeks after my loss. We waited until after she showed before we started to try again. We didn't get our BFP right away - we're still trying. There have been others on this board who got pg right after their losses and before AF.

I'm sorry for your loss. I got af 4 weeks after d & c. My doc advised to wait one cycle and so we did. For me, I needed to follow his advice if it meant giving ourselves the best chance of a healthy pregnancy. If he had advised a longer wait, I think I would really have struggled.

First of all, I'm sorry for your loss, but welcome to the board. My m/c was just about 4 weeks ago and we tried right away because we felt ready and I just really want to be pregnant again! I ovulated 15 days from when I first started bleeding (13 days after my d&c) and we tried but had no luck. AF showed up on day 27 and I'm waiting to O again, currently on cd7. hope your cycle gets back to normal soon and you get that BFP!

I'm sorry to welcome you to the board. HUGS. You'll definitely have examples here of plenty of women who got their BFPs before their first AF on this board, and went on to have healthy babes! Good luck!

Welcome. Sorry for your loss I hope your stay here is short.

We started ttc straight away after both our losses as our DR told us that I wouldn't fall pg unless my body was ready. I guess her was right as I am on my 3rd cycle and still no BFP.

I think it depends on your Dr and also your medical history. I trusted my Dr so we went with his advice.

So sorry for your loss. Welcome to the board. Trying it seems is a personal choice that everyone makes. Your body won't get pregnant if it isn't ready. If that makes sense. I wish you luck on your TTCAL journey. Many doctors recommend waiting more for dating purposes than anything else from my experience. Some say wait three cycles. I think it comes down to what works for you guys and your situation.

I miscarried at 5 w 4 d , just a week ago and intend to try now if my body will ovulate. I am hoping this hasn't messed me up too much!
