Hi Ladies...just a little update (although there isnt' really much TO update)

I called my OB first thing this morning and talked to the nurse. I told her what was going on with the spotting and at first she was going to tell me to just wait until next week cuz spotting can be normal, but then she decided to bring me in. So I went in and the Dr. did an ultrasound. There wasn't really anything much to see, although he did say he could see the sack and he wouldn't really expect to be able to see much more as I'm not even 5 weeks yet. He gave me orders to get my betas and progestrone checked and pretty much it's a wait and see. If the numbers don't look good after Wednesday then we'll just take it from there I guess...if they do look okay then he wants me back for a follow up ultra sound. The good news is that I haven't really spotted today, even after the ultrasound (which was transvaginal obviously), but I am feeling kind of crampy...more so in my lower back than anywhere else. I just want to know what's going on so I can move on either way...ugh... I feel much better about the whole situation today though, and if (god forbid) something happens with this pregnancy then that's just the way it's supposed to be. There's nothing I can do at this point. So I'm back to hoping for the best and expecting the worse...and here I thought pregnancy was going to be fun!

I really hope everything turns out ok for you and widdle bean

Please keep us updated!

I know how you're feeling about being in limbo... hoping for the best and expecting the worst, that's what I've been battling with. Still. Try not to worry, as long as your doctor is content that things are ok, then you shouuld be too easier said than done I know

((HUGS)) It's good that the spotting has stopped! It's also a good sign that they saw a sac.

I hope your numbers go up!

Sooo...I just got my betas back from yesterday 5506 (I'm 5 weeks today) The nurse sounded very positive but when I had the ultrasound yesterday my dr. said that he was thinking they would be more around the 1000 range with what he saw on my ultrasound. So I'm not sure exactly what that means...I guess I just get my second set drawn tomorrow and see what happens. I had a teeny bit more spotting today...but not much but I did have some really wicked sharp pains in my stomach this afternoon...I'm just super scared of it being ectopic....

GOOD LUCK Taralyn... there can be a number of reasons why they're high like that.

I don't know about the numbers and ectopic pregnancy, altho there are some ladies on here who could share their expierences.

My prayers are with you and your little bean... but I'm a little confused, If he saw the sac... how could it be an etopic? Wasn't the sac in the uterus?

I was thinking the same thing...but he said he saw a fluid sac, no yolk sac or anything and didn't really elaborate...I don't know...I'm confused too. I'm going to call them after work tomorrow and hopefully be able to talk to someone...
