Where did you grow-up?
Funny childhood memories?

Where did you grow-up? I grew up in a small colonial town called Amherstburg Ontario, just 20mins outside of Windsor Ontario and 30 Minutes from Downtown Detroit Michigan. Amherstburg is known for being a big part of the war of 1812, rum running the in early 1900's, Canadian geese and monarch butterflies
migration.
Were did you and hubby meet?
- I met Mike at his pharmacy, I had gone in looking for brace for my ankle because I had rolled it during my running club early that morning. He help me out and we got talking which lead to him asking for my number.
Where did you go on your first date?
-Our first was started out meeting for sushi, the date was going so well we ran over to the movie cinema and saw blood diamond (maybe not the best movie to see on a first date, but still good) Mike put his classic move of "I once caught a fish this big" LOL so lame that we won me over. Both of us didn't want the date to end so we had hot chocolate at Tim Hortons for hours. Our date started at 6pm and ended at 3am. (I moved in with him 5 days later)
Funny childhood memories? My grandma had a condo in Florida for 15 years. We went to this park called wicki wachee. They had a mermaid show where the mermaids dance and do this act under water. After the show my aunt asked us kids to get our photo taken with the mermaids. I was way to cool back then so I was not pleased. Before I say the next part please note I'm 6 ft and have been that height almost since I was 11. Anyways I didn't want my photo taken with the mermaids so as soon as shots were done I bolted from everyone and I hit my head on a concrete hanging basket. Knocked me out cold. I woke up with tons of people standing above me the mermaid hold my head. I still watch Americas funny home video waiting to see if someone got that moment on film.
What's your favorite memory (child and adult)?
When I was 3 we went to Walt Disney World we were walking down main street and we picked up a yellow mickey balloon. when we were on the ferry back to the resort the balloon got loose from my hand and floated up in the sky. I cried so much and so hard my dad and brothers went back and got another one for me. It's a run on joke now with all of our family. and when DH and myself went to Disney World this year we got the professional photos done on main street in front of the castle with a yellow balloon. I was also happy to see that they give you like 4 heavy mickey weights to solve that little problem.
Adult - I would love to say my wedding but I don't' remember it. We got married at caesars palace and our reception was the venetian. we did this high end wedding with 40ppl there. but it was over in 5 mins, I was so nervous that I never came down enough to remember any of it. But from the pictures it's the best moment and memory. the reception was unbelievable and beautiful at the venetian.
Do you have siblings? Are you close with them?
I have 2 brothers I'm very close to one but we are all 6 years apart so my oldest brother is 12 years older than me. the age difference makes it hard because we have never been in the same phase. I also have 3 sister in laws, 1 brother in law, and 2 half sister in laws. so my little family is very big now.

if you could go one place in the world... where would it be (money is not an option)?
- that is a tough one. I could travel anywhere money no object but I have a fear of flying ,we almost crashed a couple of years back and since then I have break down over flying.
Back to the question - Rome, I dream of seeing the architecture and history. I studied for years every detail of their construction and would love to stand in the Pantheon and take in all in.
If you could do one thing (again money is not an option) what would it be?
I would love to take a heritage estate home and fully restore it myself.
***I have degrees in architecture and Interior design, and I work in real estate so I day dream about houses all day.

What was it about your DH that made you know he was the ONE?
Dh is a dorky Pharmacist, so when we first started dating, Date #3 he showed up in dad jeans, Hoyas jackie and skater shoes. All I could think about was man I don't think this guy cares about this dating thing as much as I thought. But our next date he called me early in the day and asked me to come over to his house before dinner. Turns out he had gone to the mall ( a 2 hour drive when we lived on vancouver island) and asked the store clerks to help him out. He did a full fashion show pretending he was a model on the catwalk. I must say he is the funniest person I have ever met. It totally broke the ice and we were stuck together like glue from that day on.

That is why we love doing the Picture Girl and Motw it gets people talking and puts some fun back in the board. Plus it makes it's so much easier to get to know everyone,
Have you ever played any practical jokes on DH? If so which is your favorite? My friends and myself call DH at the pharmacy all the time and pretend to have strange medical problems. Like and elderly person who has got a std from to much sex at the old age home, or just got back from cancun spring break and have a strange rash. It gets him every time. So funny!!!!
What's your favorite food? Least favorite? Crab, prawns and steak, any salad with goat cheese in it.
- least favorite - lunch meat and asparagus
What kind of movies do you like? Dislike?
- Love all kinds of movies, right I'm hooked on the hangover LOVE IT!!!! chick flicks and classics like gone with the wind.
Dislike - crappy horror movies, Ones that try to be funny but just miss the mark. and anything with Jessica Simpson in it.

Are you happy in your current job? Do you ever wish you had done anything different? (If you are completely satisfied, what would be your #2 choice career?)

I kind of fell into real estate. I have worked as an architect for a number of year. Yes I like my job but real estate has no set hours and is high pressure and stress. But I feed off the excitement and thrill of the hunt and making the deal happen.
If I could do anything else, I would love to have a designer art and home accessory store, oh and have more time to work on my paintings, photos and sculptures. real estate doesn't allow much time.
