I just got back from a 16-day trip to Japan, and I have no idea what my body is doing. I also have no idea if/when I ovulated this cycle; since I was on vacation, I wasn't paying attention to the typical signs. DH and I did BD a couple times around the time I would normally O. Anyway, I had a D&C on June 10 and AF came 40 days later. Usually, my cycles are 30 days, so technically AF was due again on August 19. Sure enough, I had some brown spotting that day, and I was more relieved than disappointed because I figured my cycles were back to normal. But for three days, I only had occasional brown spotting, no red blood, and no sign of actual AF besides some mild cramps. It occurred to me that it might be implantation spotting, but an IC yesterday came back negative, and an hour after that I did have a moderate gush of blood into the toilet (sorry, TMI). I bled lightly yesterday afternoon and now...nothing again.

Am I to assume this is the strangest AF ever, lasting basically one day, or could I still possibly be either pregnant or having an early m/c? I don't know what to think...

Sorry to hear that AF is playing tricks on you. A m/c can totally mess up your cycles. Anything is possible...I would maybe re-test in a few days if you don't have any other bleeding. I hope you can figure this out soon.

It wouldn't hurt to go to your doc's office...

It does sound like AF is just a little different right now, perhaps you're uterus is still building up that lining and so when it shed there wasn't much to shed being the 2nd after the D&C. However, any abnormalities would be good to tell your doc so if there is or isn't something going on y'all can catch it now or just get the reassurence that you're "*ok*

Thanks for your replies. Shortly after I posted, I started bleeding again and it seems like a somewhat normal AF now. Now DH and I can officially start TTC again. Yay!
