I did the test this morning (cd3) and it came back with a good result. I know its not a blood test and wont tell me everything about my fertility, but did give me a peace of mind. At least I know my FSH is within normal range and this might not be a factor for my current future. Anyone else use this test?

no I didn't even know it existed. It might not be available here in Canada yet, but I will keep my eyes out for it. how much did it cost? I'm sure it's not cheap. My dr. just did the bt for fsh and it came back with 10.8, which is okay, but IMO not the greatest. Glad yours is good. did it come up with a number or just said 'good'?

I had heard of them and was going to try it if my doctor fought me on doing the bloodtests I wanted.

The cost was $22 for two tests. They give you an extra one incase of errors. The test works by the pink lines. If the result is lighter than the control, your levels are good. If you have no line for the test, it is also good. If the test line is the same or darker than the control line, your levels are elevated. The test box says it is 95% accurate.
Again, I think your levels at 10.8 are just fine. From what I read out there in internet world. Especially if your dr. gave you a number of 12 being the bench mark. Every dr. has their own idea of a bench mark, and I think with you having children already you should not worry. (especially since your lo is so young as well.)
thanks for replying, I know not many women have done/heard about this test since it is fairly new this year.

I got a couple tests off Ebay for $9. And tested negative - woohoo!!!
I'm worried that at 47 my time is up...but not according to the tests!!!
Good luck!

You know, I did use that, and my levels came back normal. It is good to get bloodwork done though, because my doc found that even though my levels were normal, my FSH and LH were reversed-one being higher than the other when it shouldn't have been, which clued him into my ovaries not functioning correctly and knowing I will have to be put on Clomid when we TTC.
It was very reassuring to me, and although I am not trying to burst your bubble, it is nice to know at the time!

Trish - I think you need to order them online to get them in Canada. I haven't tried it. My Dr. has tested my FSH levels twice and they are fine. (thank goodness)!

I agree, this test is only going to give you one particular answer. But since I have had 4 children (living) and I did concieve recently, I do not think I would be a candidate for clomid. I just did this because of my age and wanted to see if my egg reserve/quality was sufficient and that is the only thing this test provides an answer to. There are so many other reasons for infertility other than this, but this is the leading one for my age group. (35 and older). If I dont conceive in the next month, by the instrutions on the box, I will see a dr. for further testing. I have heard many women that took this test and felt no further follow up was necessary. But this is only something to take to follow up with your dr. for possible further screeing in my age group.

we could call it Geriatric Pregancy, Advanced Maternal Age, High Risk Advanced Maternal Age, and on and on. I like "our age group" better, how about you?

omg, geriatric pregnancy makes me laugh too hard. Picture us walking down the hospital hallway with canes yelling, I am going to give birth - give me pain meds now or I will beat you with my cane you young whipper snapper.
Yea, and I honestly had nothing to drink today, lol....

My ob told me some dr.'s use this term for pregnancy over 35. I think I beat the s@*! out of someone who refered pregnancy to me that way
