I had my m/c on Aug 17. My levels went from 270 to 70 in 1 week. I talked to the Dr on monday when she called to tell me my Friday levels were 70 and they want me to go in again for betas. I talked to her about when we could have sex again. Dr said whenever I feel like it. So we did twice now and both times about 20 mins later I had contractions for a good hr. I called the Dr this morning and waiting for her to call me back. What gives ? I stopped bleeding 3 days ago.

Dr also wants me in for a follow up in Sept so I just made my appt for that.

If you're not comfortable having sex, then don't honey... I can only imagine that things are still pretty sensitive on the inside right now I'd definitly follow-up with your doctor because there can be unseen issues going on or nothing at all; either way your doc can figure that out. Does your dr's office have a nurse triage where you can speak to the nurse about symptoms and she can help you figure out what it is prior to your appt? At least that way she can give you some insight as to why or what's causing it.

I'm sorry it's a confusing time right now, our bodies are each so different so that could just be normal for you (or not)

I would try to get in there asap tho and have the follow-up appointment to get things checked out fo sho!!!

hang in there lady, it will go back to normal!

With my m/c, my bleeding stopped after 7 days (5 days post d&c) then I had light bleeding on day 11 and day 13 then ovulated on day 15. My levels were down to nothing by day 12. My point is, everyone's different. You just never know what your body is going to do. And this cramping could be nothing or you may end up bleeding/spotting sporadically for a bit. My friend had 3 "periods" in about 6 weeks after her m/c before she got back to normal. My Dr. told us to wait 2 weeks before sex just to make sure everything was healed and the cervix is closed. If you are concerned, I would call your Dr. and just do what feels right regarding sex. I hope you get some answers soon.

I do remember having pretty bad pains...kind of like a mix of gas pain and contractions after BDing for a few weeks after the m/c. So maybe it's just your uterus being over sensitive. I hope it goes away soon!

Giiiiirl shoot! Ask away, don't be sorry... NO QUESTION IS A DUMB QUESTION, only the ones not asked

Oh ya you can ovulate after a miscarriage... I'm a weird medical anomoly according to my new doctor, I ovulated what seemed just a couple days after my loss last month. My old doctor didn't believe I did and therefore caused another loss of that pregnancy with medication. I'm not going to go into the entire story... but YES you can ovulate soon after, I believe it has to do with how quickly your levels drop and several other factors. My new doctor didn't go into great detail and I wasn't there to find out about that (how, when, why, etc) anyways.

Good luck Mommy2Many... and I hope you feel comfortable to ask any question and please do so! I hope you stay for only a short while before you get your bfp!!!
