Hey...anyone watch LA Ink...anyone watch it tonight. The reason I'm asking is because there was a tatoo on there that I feel in love with, and want to get in reminder for Baby J...I know that I shouldn't get exactly the same one...(in fact they are probably copywritted) but something similar. Is it weird that I want a tattoo that is very similar to someone...I would change it up a bit...but would use the same idea...It was just so neat, and they wouldn't mean exactly the same thing...

No...but that one was gorgeous as well...honestly, (and it seems kinda obvious I guess) but it is the angel holding the baby one...OMG I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it...and I know that she got it because she was given this baby from an angel...but I want to get it because I truely believe that my baby is being watched by angels, until I can see Baby J again!!

I think you could get it, it's on you body and it's a personal choice so it wouldn't fall under copy rights. Look at how many people got the nike swoop back in the day or disney characters. I have a number of tattoos. I say if you love it get. I'm thinking of adding to my back piece. my calf is all done up and I don't think I wasnt to add more but who knows.
sorry I forgot about that one. that one would be a great tat.

YES and no.... not tonight, I KNEW I was missing a show dang it, but it's recorded so I'll watch the dvr tomorrow.
No there's no copyright's on tattoo's to be quiet honest, my DH is a tattoo artist and I'm apprenticing (slowly, lol)
Allot of people will take a design to an artist and sometimes they'll put a new twist on it if it's a "flash" design to sort of personalize it for the person. Now if it's a custom piece or a drawn, the artist will try to stick closely to that design unless it's just not a "tattooable" design like if it's too clutered and busy, some things don't transfer to skin like it does on paper
So ya, you can get that design... I'm sure you'd put your own twist on it anyways and it will be an original anyhow
I hope this helps Marci

I didn't see it. I have designed my memorial tattoo for my angel though. I won't get it until after I have a successful pregnancy, 'cause I want to get it right over my uterus and I don't need it stretching!
I'll try to describe mine:
2 baby feet with a halo and angel wings. On the top it will say "Our Angel" and underneath "April 11, 2008".

this is just one of my tats. it took 14 hours, and a number of sittings. It was finished just weeks after our loss so it has a lot of meaning. I walked into my friend's shop one day and he free handed it for me. It's an art deco woman who is painting on canvas which is turning into fabric and surrounding her. It has so much meaning to me it truly is me in a nut shell. And my favorite tat on my body so far.

Aimz, that is beautiful!!! I love that 50'esk artwork... like all the ladies with the flowers and such, Alphonse Mucha Art Nouveau.
I have a ladybug on my lefthand covering a scar that I thought about adding 2 small ladybugs flying away to symbolize our recent losses

Amiz I love your Tat!!!
I have included pictures of the tat while it was on paper.
The girl got the top one, and that is the one that I like the most as well I think... But they could maybe changed something on the bottom one to make it better. I just don't necessarily like all the extra stuff they put on the bottom, but I would like the bottom one better if it didn't have that. The girl on the show got it because the daughter that she adopted was sent from the angels... So the meaning is a bit different, but I think good still...I think after seeing some of the posts, I will somehow add the letter J to it...because since I lost my baby early, and am unsure of the sex..I just call her baby J.
I'm sorry the picture is so unclear...I rewound the PVR and took a picture from the TV.

The top one is simple and it looks beautiful done, I think adding a J would really add to it. If you do get it you have to post pictures.

I will definately post pictures when I get it...I like Kim's idea of doing it over my uterus though, (sorry to copy) But we will see, I am also thinking of getting it on my lower back, because I do want to get it as soon as I can. I just have to decide and talk with DH.

Marci that is such a fantastic tattoo! I agree that the second one has a lot going on under the baby (if I were to do it i would be removng all that and having the tattoo end with the baby).
Definitley show us pics when you get it!!
