How long did it take for you ladies to get your period back? I lost the baby at around 4 or 5 weeks, so i was pretty early on. Doc said most women get it 4 weeks later, but 6 weeks later isn't uncommon. I tested this morning with fmu and it was negative. I've been testing every 2 weeks or so just to know. I just want my period to come so we can begin ttc again. Now I'm just waiting around. I keep feeling little cramps and I keep rushing to the bathroom hoping it's AF. Still a no show. Will my period be any different from a period following a normal cycle?
I'm afraid to get a good work out in, cuz I keep wondering "what if I'm pregnant and a hard work out would hurt the baby?". Every time I wait 2 weeks and treat myself like I'm pregnant, that's just another fruitless 2 weeks I don't have to try to get myself back into shape. Even now, I don't want to go to the gym, as I'd have no idea when I ovulated or even if I did. I just don't know. Ok.. I either want a new pregnancy or AF... as sad as it is, I'm kinda hoping for AF, just because I don't look quite like I did when I was first married 14 months ago and I'm gonna need time to get my lazy butt back into shape. I want to be in decent shape for a pregnancy.
I didn't think I'd ever look forward to AF showing....

HUGS hun. I know how frustrating it is to wait for the first AF. Everyone will have a different story. For me, it was 7 weeks both times. I'd definitely take another HPT in a week, just to be sure. I'm assuming you don't know when you ovulated, right? So it may have just been delayed a bit longer.
My periods were heavier and crampier both times, but I also had D&Cs after both my losses.
As for working out and stuff, I'd say to do whatever you feel comfortable with. Sometimes I think that way too, but the chances of you hurting the little one when you work out are probably slim... you could always do light cardio and some moderate weight training instead of something intense like a run. You deserve to keep busy and to take care of yourself while you're waiting for things to go back to normal!
I hope she/or a BFP shows up soon!

SkyBaby... I'm sorry for the frustration you're going thru!!!
Please don't be hard on yourself, don't confine yourself either... exercising isn't going to hurt a baby if you are pregnant and it just might make you feel better to get back into the swing of things, those endorphens will elevate your mood alone Also, maybe getting back to exercising or whatever routine you were in might make af show up. I bet it's right around the cornor... just hang in there!!!
I wish I could wave my secret magic wand for you and make your wishes come true and your happiness prevail GIGANTIC HUGS & LUV to you SkyBaby!!!

Everyone is different. Unfortunately there's no magic formula. For me I got AF 23 days after my loss (28 days from when I first started to spot). AF for the next few cycles was heavier and my cramping was stronger than before too.
Hopefully AF shows soon for you.

I got AF 26 days after I started bleeding (24 days post d&c). Still waiting for my 2nd AF post m/c. But my doctor said it may take a month or two to get back on track. As for exercising, I think you should go ahead and work out if it's something you are used to doing. I wouldn't start out with a super-tough routine, but if you build up to it, if you are pregnant, the baby should be fine. At least that's what my Dr. told me. I hope AF shows up soon for you. **HUGS**

i'm sorry for your loss. i'm sorry, too, for your frustration regarding af. i'm right there w/ you. i had always been a 28 day girl prior to my loss (i had a d&c). 1st af was a day shy of 5 weeks. 2nd af was 29 days and 3rd af was 25! it's crazy, i know, and you just want to get back to normal. hang in there...

Hi! I usually lurk, but i'm trying to come out of lurking! First, i'm so sorry for your loss sweetie. After my d&c, it took me 8-9 weeks to get my first AF back! It wasn't heavier, but maybe a little crampier, and after the first, i went right back on track with my cycles! I know how you feel, I couldn't wait for the witch to show so I could move on! Hang in there!

I usually work out just light stuff, walking, and light weights until my dr tells me to stop. I usually have to stop. If it is part of your routine it is no problem. And walking is always good for pregnant ladies . I hope you get AF or BFP very soon. I know its frustrating. Mine was heavier and crampier but they found out why and it wasn't related to the m/c so that doesn't help you much sorry.
