I called the Doc yesterday to see what they wanted me to do, got the call back today from the NP. She told me that I can come in for bloodwork... And that CT scan was early on and shouldn't have any effect on the pregnancy... that is the good news.. I than tell them that I pulled up my CT scan last night and they saw a third thing on the CT.. I have a 4mm nodule on the base of my lung. (I am an ex-smoker) So the recomandation for that is a follow up CT in 12 months. The NP told me she would talk to the Dr. I went in for blood work at about 930 this morning and my Dr called me at about 200. My HCG is 31. My progest. is 12.. which is a little low.. He said this could be just because I am so newly pregnant. He wants more blood drawn Monday Am. and if it is still low by than.. I will be put on suplements. He also said.. He dosen't believe the CT will affect the pregnancy. As for the Appendix.. he sees this offten.. just leave it for now, But he does want me to follow up with my Primary. And as for the Nodule on the lung.. as long as I don't have any other symptoms. We can do a follow CT after I deliver. But he than said I'm not a pulmonolgist.. But he has had this in the past.. and een had to send a woman who was pregnant to have a chest CT.. not that he likes to do it, but thier is certain times that are better than others.
So ladies.. pray that everything is ok with my little bean and now me.
I guess all things happen for a reason, but my god what have I done so bad, was a murder in my past life???

first-congrats on your bfp!
i'm glad you got mostly good news from the doctor. i'm so sorry there is a concern w/ that nodule. i think i'd go to a pulmonologist personally, just so i wouldn't worry for 9 months!
please keep us posted!

Wow.. what a week for your Kary!
Your numbers seem just fine for how early it is, but I'm glad they'll check them again next week just to help ease your mind about the CT scan this week and such. I'm glad your appendix situation is OK too. As for the lungs, you could maybe go see a specialist and ask his/her opinion without actually getting anything done unless it's absolutely necessary.
I'm still happy about your BFP! And you could not POSSIBLY be a muderer! Life is VERY unfair, but I'm truly hoping things will start turning around for you with this little miracle!

YAY for 31! I am excited to see how high that numbers is on Monday. Its good to hear that your doc doesn't think there is anything to worry about in terms of the CT. As for all the stuff they are seeing on the CT - it could just be bad shadows on the film, or harmless stuff. That is why they are saying not to worry about it until you start having any kinds of symtoms. So don't worry and just take care of yourself and that gorwing baby

Kary, that is some rough stuff you are going through. Seems kind of like you are on a roller coaster of emotions right now. I would definately follow up with a specialist about your lung...it's not something to fool around with. I pray that it will be okay! Your beta looks good. I am keeping my fingers & toes crossed that it keeps on going up. It has been a hard year for you.....HUGS!!!!! I hope that now you will have your rainbow!

Kary the levels sound normal for dpo that you are, don't stress I like that your doc is going to give you some supplements tho, YAY, for good proactive doctors!!!
I'm sorry to hear about the nodule, I hope that it is something that goes away on it's own... never hurts to keep an eye on those things tho and to catch it before anything comes of it! Stay positive lady, I'm praying double time for you and baby butterbean
I can understand that this is a scarey, stress filled time, but fortunately it sounds like you have a good medical care team looking after you and baby

You know Kary, my MIL runs a large chain of radiology centers. At least once a month, a woman discovers that she was pregnant at the time of an Xray, MRI, CT scan, etc., and didn't know it at the time. They always follow up, and every single time the baby is born healthy and everything is fine. I don't see why it would be any different for you.

I hope that Monday's numbers show a huge increase. I'm sure the CT scan will not harm the baby. Last year they found a spot on my liver during an u/s. I had to wait 3 months, then go for a follow up u/s to see if it was growing. Let me tell you I was so stressed out! I turns out it was a blood vessel! All that worry for nothing. Try not to let the nodule stress you out.

Those numbers are fine for this early, it is more important that they are increasing so good luck for Monday!
Sorry to hear about the nodule on your lung, that must have been scary but at least it has been found and it can be monitored. I pray everything will be ok.
Thinking of you - *stickvibes* and good luck!
