Hello ladies!

I have been reading the posts on this site for almost two years now, but would finally like to become a part of the group, if that's alright with you. I could use some support from other women who know what my husband and I are going through.

After TTC for well over a year, we were thrilled to find out that I was pregnant in March of this year. Much to our heartbreak, I ended up miscarrying on April 8 at 7.5 weeks, but the baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks. I had a D&C that day (which I felt a bit rushed into). I am just now to the point that I can talk about it without crying. (Ok, I'm not gonna lie, I still tear up). So, after 4 long months of testing and waiting for my first post miscarriage period, we are TTC again! I'm so excited, but at the same time, so anxious and scared. I'm sure I don't have to explain why.

After 10 years of irregular periods, and many other symptoms, I was finally diagnosed with PCOS (after a slurry of testing to rule out other possibilities). My cycles can be super long, and then I will have two periods in a row, 30 days apart. I just took my first Clomid pill today, and am hoping and praying it works! (I have non insulin resistant PCOS).

I know some people have already asked questions about Clomid, but have any of you ladies had success with it? Did you have subsequent miscarriages while using Clomid? (My doc. said it will help with the poor egg quality).

Thanks for your time!!

Welcome to the board! I'm glad you feel ready to join us. I'm Liz (28) married to DH Eric (28). We are still TTC #1 after 2 losses. I have PCOS as well which only complicates things. I may be joining you on the Clomid path soon after I meet with my doctor in 2 weeks.

The ladies here are awesome! Welcome!

N.M.HOOD, welcome to TTCAL!

I'm sorry about your loss, it's not an easy time to get thru and we all handle it so differently... I'm glad that you're healing emotionally and feel ready to TTC. No matter how ready any of us are, those axieties plague us because of our losses... it's normal for *us* but others who haven't gone thru what we have may not understand (and that's ok) Here you'll find there's allot of kindred spirits... everyone has had some similar expierences and some different ones that we can all share to help one another. Or hope to help someone!

Hope that you find this place peaceful, friendly, welcoming... all the ladies here are WONDERFUL!!! All the ladies are helpful, compassionate, caring and each of us has a little something different to contribute... but overall the main gift is support! I hope you have a wonderful time here and welcome!!!

Ooooh I forgot to introduce myself....

I'm Celena, 32yr and DH, 31yr... I had my IUD taken out April'08 and had first gotten pregnant in July'09... We had two losses recently, in July'09 & just a few weeks ago August'09(yes, oddly enough I ovulated just after my loss in July... I'm a weird medical anomoly) We're TTC our first together.

My DH has never been thru losses, I have, but with my ex and back then I was pretty much alone.... in June'00...

Hi and welcome. I lost my baby on April 9th at 7 1/2 weeks (The day after you). I still tear up at times too. I am sorry for your loss.

I don't know much about clomid, but there is a TTC with medical assistance board here at JM and some of the grils are taking it. I hope you get your BFP soon!

It's great that you decided to join us, welcome.

Hello & I'm Amanda!!! I'm so sorry for your loss & so wish I could take your pain away & every other lady's here.

Your story is similar to mine! We tried 3 years before getting pg. We finally learned that I have hypothyroidism & a progesterone defect for which I took Clomid for! It worked! Yes, I had a m/c but I don't think the Clomid had anything to do with it. I am so excited that Clomid worked. My first 2 rounds of 50 mg didn't but when my dr upped my dose to 100 mg we got pg THAT cycle so I am hoping & praying that when the dr will prescribe Clomid again (my Oct cycle... we're almost there ) we'll get pg immediately!

GL & PM me anytime!!!

Thanks so much for the encouraging words, and warm welcome!!

I'm a first year teacher, and have been extremely busy, but I will try to keep up communication as much as possible.

So far, so good with the Clomid. No side effects to speak of thus far, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm just excited to be doing something proactive, finally.

Missy123, I am on CD 6, so we are still WAY early in this first Clomid cycle. The days can't go fast enough!!!! Just one more pill to take tomorrow, and then we'll see if I ovulate. Sept. 21 will be CD-21 progesterone testing to see if I ovulated, and then I guess I will test somewhere around the 23rd of September if I find out that I did. (I have a good feeling. I ovulate on my own, just not regularly, and generally late in my cycle-like CD 31-45, if not later).

I am a HUGE POAS addict as well. I used to spend so much on FRER tests, and then I started ordering from early-pregnancy-tests for OPK's and pregnancy tests. SO CHEAP. When I got pregnant before I used the cheapies for super early testing (I can't help it at like 9/10 DPO. I'm so impatient), and then went and got like 3 FRER's, and two digital tests when it was positive. A little overboard, I know, but it was just the BEST to see those two pink lines! (Although after the m/c I couldn't wait until it wasn't pink anymore just so we could move on. Weird how things can change).

My Dr. told me that we only needed to BD like 2-3 times during CD 10-16, but I am NOT taking chances. Come rain, or shine, it's going to happen every day. Doesn't that seem a little too lax? Why take the chance?

By the way, my name is Natalie (23), and DH is John (25). We've been married for 2 1/2 years, and have been TTC our first for about 1 1/2 years. Forgot to mention those details.

Support is definitely important after an experience of such loss. I've had a lot of friends who've been through the same, and our being there helped her get through the pain.
