Just wondering what the Dr does at a follow up ? I didnt have a follow up with my first m/c and the NP told me to book a follow up since this was the 2nd m/c.

Im guessing its a pap for sure and maybe doing some blood work ?

Unless you have not had a pap recently, then yes and yes to blood work to make sure HCG is gone. If you had a d&c, they will ask you questions about bleeding and so forth, for a natural too I would asume. Then talk about when to conceive again and possible blood tests for multiple m/c's to rule out blood disorders. Very informative, make sure you ask anything you may have questions too. Good Luck.

I think every doc is different....

Mine would do bloodwork to check my betas again to see which way they were going, a pelvice exam and a chit chat asking what I planned on doing (ttc or b/c, um duh ttc)

That's about it, some will do an u/s but not unless there's been issues

Mine asked how I was doing, how the bleeding was and only did a pelvic if needed. He figured I had been through enough. I hope your follow up goes well.

I had a D&C. Mine checked my cervix & that area... not a full pap but close & talked to me a bit about what the next steps are... that's it. GL at your follow-up!
