My little man is 1 today! (Baby mentioned)

Sorry I just had to share. He's my post miscarriage miracle baby. My dh and I found out we were preggo on our Honeymoon and soon lost our little one 4 weeks later at 8 weeks 4 days. We were devastated. It was my first pregnancy ever...so I worried I was broken. I had a d and c 2 days after finding out. Then 4 weeks later I was still spotting. Took a pregnancy test and it came back super positive. I thought I was pregnant again. But nope...I had retained tissue. So back to surgery I went. That was Oct. 18, 2007. Dec. 25, 2007 Christmas night we conceived little Mr. Wyatt. I found out Jan. 7 2008 that I was pregnant. The next 34 weeks were hell. I was at the dr.'s office all the time about every little pain I had worried that I was going to lose him. Then Sept. 10, 2008 I woke up and my little man decided he didn't feel like moving. Freaked me out. I called the dr.'s office and off I went. They found his heartbeat on the doppler and then did a quick ultrasound and he was out of fluid space. So I went in to be induced. They broke my water at 12:00p.m. and he had meconium. So they let me try to labor until 9 p.m. that night but I was only dilated to 5 (I went in at 2). They took us off to the c-section room and my little man arrived @ 10:15p.m. 8 lbs 15 ounces and 20 inches long. The year has flown by. I look at him and can't believe I was so blessed to have him. I definitely think I appreciate him far more since I did have a miscarriage. I feel like he was the one I was meant to have on this earth for whatever reason.

I'm sorry I just wanted to share. I hope this helps others a little. I check in on everybody everyday. I hate that we are all a part of this special little club. And I can't wait to see everybody's bfp's!!! Baby dust to everybody!!!

I'm so glad you had a happy outcome...I do believe that things happen for a reason (most of the time anyway). Can't believe he's already a year old! Happy 1st B-Day little man!!! It's awesome that your little one is due almost the same day you found out you were pregnant with Wyatt.

It's nice to hear that miracles happen! I have had so many miscarriages, that when I get pregnant I just expect a miscarriage... maybe someday I will actually have a baby!
