Ok sorry for all the ? lately. With my 1st m/c I never thought to join any online groups for support. This time I found you wonderfull ladies.

I do have a ? about CDs, when do you count CD 1 after a m/c ? Do you count it when you had a D&C or passed on your own ? Or do you wait untill 1st af comes ?

I only ask cause Im curious as to what CD Im on.

Aug 17 found out I was m/c again that night passed everthing I thought
Aug 29 I passed the rest.
Sept 3 beats were 0

We have been bd since I stopped bleeding. Not really trying but not proventing either.

I would go by the last day of bleeding (Aug. 29). Once the bleeding stops, m/c is over, new cycle begins. Good luck to you.

Both of mine were natural. I counted from when I really passed stuff - but i also looked for ovulation signs and then counted from that for real. It took a longer time to O but after O - I was back on the 14 day luteal phase. Does that help or am I as incoherent as I feel?

Everyone might have been told something different, however this is what I've gone by....

This is just what I was told by a RN & Dr to count the first day of *real* bleeding of my miscarriage, that totally coincides with when I O'd *right* after my miscarriage in July.

So if you had spotting, you don't count that until you start to *bleed* light medium or heavy that would be considered CD1 like you do with an AF.

My first m/c at 12 weeks I had to take meds to start the m/c. the first day I took them I only bled a bit, the second day I passed the baby...so that is the day that I am counting as the day of my m/c and cd1. hope that makes sense.

copied from fertilityfriend.com:

How do I chart after a miscarriage?

First, if you have recently experienced a miscarriage, we would like to express our deepest sympathy for your loss.

Whether or not to start charting right away after a miscarriage is a personal decision. You may decide that you need to take time out, or you may find it especially gratifying to be able to see your fertility return after a miscarriage.

You can chart immediately after a miscarriage, but check with your doctor to determine whether or not it is recommended to try to conceive right away.

For charting purposes, the first day of your new cycle can be the first day of your miscarriage (full bleeding) if no D&C is required. If a D&C is required, you can start a new chart for the day of the procedure. Enter "menses" to start a new cycle and make a note of the circumstances in the notes section of your chart. If you were charting the cycle of your miscarriage, you should enter "miscarriage" on that chart. You may also decide to exclude that cycle from your cycle statistics as it will show an unusually long luteal phase length.

I am currently on my third M/C When I spoke to the Dr.. he told me the CD1 was the first day of "real" bleeding. Not spotting. I had spotted for 3 days. And started bleeding on the 4th day. He said if we were to do bloodwork we would do it on CD 3.. But after the converstaion we decided not to test the FSH.. since he feels I do not have a problem with Ovulation. And all other Blood work he wants to do can be done at any time. I hope this helps.

I have had a natural m/c and a D&C and was told to count CD1 as the first day I started to bleed, with the D&C I counted CD1 as the day I had the procedure.

Judging by your dates and now August has passed I would count Sep 3 as your CD1 but I am no expert and only know by my experiences.

Best of luck and I am sorry for your loss
