My body has been really making me mad.. I will go days without bleeding from the miscarriage, and then BAM I start gushing.. Well yesterday I am at my parents.. I had a panty liner on and BAM out of no where I started gushing blood it went right throught the panty liner soaking my undies and right through to my kahki pants.. Oh I was sooo mad.. I had to hand scrub it out so it didn't stain my clothes.. This methotrexate has really done a number on me.. I hate the stop and go though. I just want it to be over...

This is aweful! I hope that the bleeding stops soon. I know what you mean though about the stopping and starting up again. My AF is like that now since the m/c. whenever I think it's already over...bam here it comes again for another few days. Hang in there!

I would definately call the doctor, also, with the methotrexate, did they suggest that you take a folic acid supplement. i'm not sure how it works with MC's but we have pt's here at our office on methotrexate and they have to take a 1mg folic acid supplement everyday because it can drain if from your body.

My last miscarriage was similar. The bleed would slow down to just a little spotting and then it would get heavy without warning.
I hope it stops soon!!

I don't continously gush I just gush that one time and then it slows down to spotting and then I won't do anything and then out of the blue it will happen.. It is weird.. So far nothing more then spotting since Wed so I hope all is good.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Having a miscarriage is both phyically and emotionally exhausting. One can only understand if they are going through it or have experienced one themselves. I myself have had a miscarriage in December of 2006. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to deal with. No one could understand the emotions I was facing and the absolute weakness that came over my body. It was extremely draining. It went on for 6 weeks until it finally expelled. The bleeding you are experiencing does sound normal but you may talk to your doctor about taking vitamins and iron if you are not on them already, because it will give your body a boost. Also, drinking something that contains vitamin C, such as orange juice, when you take the iron supplements will help your body to absorb the iron more effectively. The other option is a D&C, but that increases the risk of future miscarriages. I wish I had known all this when I was having my miscarriage. Just be sure to get plenty of rest! I hope that this will soon pass and know that we are here to help you get through this hard time in your life. You are not alone.

I was told from the nurses that gave me the shots there will be alllot of heavy heavy bleeding and strong labor like pain.
Awe honey, it does seem to suck but the wonderful magical way of our bodies,,,,, it's a cleansing to prepare your uterus to carry a wee one thru 40 weeks growing inside of you. So if it has been extra yucky it's probably due to slofing off the old uneaven lining from the uterus. Ya I've only been wearing pads no tampons just yet... altho I don't care for them. Thank God for always long fresh scented!
Hang in there, it cannot go on forever honey and it's trying to do what it's supposed to

That must be awful for you having to deal with not knowing when a gush is going to hit.

Hey, I just wanted to say that from everything I have read and checked with numerous doctors, a D&C does NOT put you at higher risk for m/c. That sounds like a scary rumor about D&Cs. They are generally a very low risk procedure. They don't even use sharp objects anymore so all those old fears of "puncturing something" are out the window.

I meant to add that I had that without the methotrexate during my 1st most recent loss, had no intervention and it would slow to nothing then gush out too... maybe that has something to do with anatomy of the cervix only being partially opened so at certain times after its built up it "empties" it so then it turns to spotting until it fills up again?
I hope it has gotten better in the past couple of days for ya...
