I know its different for everyone...but when was your first AF after your m/c or d&c?

I miscarried last tuesday ( ) and was done bleeding completely by friday. Nothing Saturday then I started bleeding Sunday full on like AF. It is on the tail end of it. Could this have been AF or just a weird bleeding from the d&c and m/c?

Just a quick question to see when AF came for you. Was your first cycle regular or irregular?

I am anxious to start TTC as soon as I can...but I am even more nervous this time!

After my D&C I had bleeding off and on for a week. I know some people have it off and on for a few weeks. I don't think it was AF because you wouldn't have time to O. Usually when your levels get back to zero you O and then get AF.

after both d&cs, i bled on and off heavy and light for two weeks. it would stop and start again. I had my first AF seven weeks after both procedures. I just had a natural m/c and the bleeding was heavy for three weeks. We'll see when AF comes!

Hugs! I know how awful the waiting game is! Everyone is different, but the norm is 4-8 weeks for the first AF.

I have had a natural m/c and a D&C. With the natural m/c it was just like a normal AF but with more clotting and obviously alot more traumatic! I literally only had some spotting after my D&C and then didn't have any bleeding until AF arrived 33 days later so my cycle pretty much returned to normal. I did have what can only be described as contractions 3 days after the procedure. They lasted about 6 hours but I didn't have any bleeding with the pain. The first 2 AF's after my D&C were quite heavy and very painful with lots of clotting during the 2nd one. I feel like my body had a big clean out and I got my BFP the next cycle.

My first AF after my natural m/c came 34 days after I had the m/c and I got pregnant that cycle and had a healthy baby girl. I had a D&C on 8/28 and had bleeding for a week straight then it stopped for about 4 days and came again for another 3 days (so 2 weeks of bleeding total).... I was expecting my AF to show up around 10/1... but I still show HCG in my bloodwork and I don't think you can "O" with HCG still in your blood.... Are you having to go in weekly for bloodwork?

I'm so sorry for your loss. *hugs* I had my first AF around 5 weeks after my m/c. I didn't have a d&c tho.
