Sorry if I spelled it wrong. So I keep reading all this stuff on low progesterone and my dr had said he would check mine if we get pregnant again. Then I saw someone said they started bleeding and thier doctor put them on a progesterone supplement. So I started looking stuff up and holy moly. Most of the time it is talking about m/c however.... Alot of the signs that you have a low level are the same as my pregnancies. The early pregancy bleeding and spotting, early labor contrations, etc. So my question is for those who have been found to have low levels. What were your symptoms/signs? Did you have any? Did you find that it helped, did the spotting/bleeding stop? Any information would be great. I am thinking about having my medical check my levels next week regardless of if we get a bfp this weekend or not. After finding this information though I am a bit more hopeful even if I shouldn't be LOL. Thanks again ladies you are all so helpful and knowledgeable.

I'm sorry I don't have any personal experiences with it, but my dr. is putting me on progesterone after I ovulate just to make sure. I do however know of one mommy who did have spotting and was found to have low progesterone (I think she was around 9 weeks) and her dr. put her on supplements. She's doing great and the little bean is growing.

I don't know what the symptoms really are but my doctor is going to check mine next cycle or if I am pregnant. And if its even a little low she is going to put me on it. I hope your doctors run the tests for you.

Thanks ladies I got a referral from my primary care doctor so I am going to ask. 10 years of random spotting/bleeding is enough for me and I am so over it LOL.

first sign of low progesterone is usually a short luteal phase!!! 10 days or less. that is how i found mine out. spotting can be a sign of it, but it's not necessarily due to low progesterone. get it checked just to know!!! i take progesterone supplements from 3dpo (need three temps to confirm O, cause if you take progesterone before you O, you won't O) so I take it from 3dpo till AF. Good luck to you!!

There are so many factors that contribute to the definite findings of low progesterone... I think that it's definitly worth checking into and as simple as a blood test! Are you going to ask about that this next cycle and get tested for it? KUP on that. I hope that isn't what is going on with you, but if it something they find it is totally treatable!

Do you have a luteal phase less than 10 days? How are your cycles?

I read a few things after reading your post... it spiked more curiosity!

Low Progesterone Levels | Signs and Symptoms of Low Progesterone Levels

something interesting that I found was low progeserone shows up in women with fibromyalgia. However my luteal phase is in the normal range of 10-14 days. So that is good... a good sign I'de think

I dunno, there's so much that contributes to it...

Signs & Symptoms of Low Progesterone in Early Pregnancy | eHow.com

This is the article I found that started me wondering if I have this problem. I don't have short luteral phases that I know of. But I have had the spotting and preterm labor with both my other pregnancies. The other thing I thought was gee if if gets worse as you get older or anything ya know. Or with each pregnancy. I am definitely going to ask about it. It can't hurt. Thanks for the links Celena that is good information too.
