Freaking out over here (probably TMI)

Ok, ladies. I'm 8 DPO today and just happened to check my CM...for no particular reason. Anyway, I think I have EWCM!! It's seriously the most I have EVER EVER seen/had. I hardly ever get EWCM...and never after O. What the heck? Now, I must add to the collection of evidence that DH and I DTD this morning around 9am. Now it's almost 3pm. So, potentially, it could be some other type of fluid. But, I'm not exactly new at this and hope that I would know the difference. And, it's been a few hours if you know what I mean?

What does all this mean? What should I do? Should I take an OPK? A HPT? Maybe I am just crazy!

Hi Liz!

Well you can get EWCM several times in your cycle... also if you had sex this am and then checked it this afternoon it can actually be from the ejaculation. So that can actually confuse your findings... it doesn't hurt to pee on an OPK, but if you know for sure that you've O'd already I'd doubt that it's an actual "fertile time" and is just from the romping this morning.

What does your chart look like? Your temps?

It could very well have been from this morning.. that can last a day or two actually. Hm.. if I were you, I'd wait a few days, then take the HPT

Yeah, no charting for me...i know, I know, I should. But I feel I might say goodbye to my last bit of sanity if I start charting.

Thanks for the reassurance, girls! Like I said, I figured I was an old pro and there was no way I could mistake THAT fluid for EWCM....but it's possible since I'm going crazy in the 2WW.

I got extra cm... the last two times I got my BFP..... I want to see that BFP! BFP! BFP! BFP!

I know that some ladies have fertile cm in the luteal phase after Oing. Or it could be the other "fluid" from this morning....it can look quite similar in my opinion.

I'm dying for you to POAS since it's too early for me! One of us needs to be doing it!!!

Liz I have found the last couple of cycles I have had what I thought was EWCM a lot after O. And I have also been confused because I was sure it would not be fluid fron DTD but sometimes it lasts even into the next day (for instance we DTD one night and the next day there is still fluid and/or extra CM).

I can't wait for you to POAS though!!!

I know the waiting was killing you girls....but it was a BFN at 8 DPO. Too early, right? I want to hear it.

Also, I did what you should never do and looked at my test from yesterday...now more than 30 hours old. And I definitely saw something there. Good ol' evap line I'm sure. Hence why you should never read a test later.

I'm bummed and am kinda thinking this isn't is this month either....grrrr.

It is really early. My one and only positive was 11dpo and it was super faint. I know the wait sucks, but don't give up hope and wait a couple of days (or if you were me, tomorrow morning

) and test again. It's not nearly over yet!

Count me in as another one who finds it hard to find the difference sometimes between EWCM and post-DTD stuff! But I also had EWCM this cycle several days after I thought I O'd (and two days after DTC), so I guess I have no idea when I O'd. You sound like you have a better idea when you O'd. Good luck!

Liz you already know its too early but I will say it anyway 8DPO is TOO early

I am sure you are going to be testing again in the morning (and the morning after that) but don't put too much concern into BFN's until you are late (and even then you know you are not out until AF shows) - I have never gotten a positive earlier than 13 DPO.

wait at least 2 more days to test again. I would also start bding like crazy for the next couple of days, Just to be sure.

Just to reassure you but I know you already know - 8DPO is way too early! At least for most people anyway. I think some 'lucky' ones may get early BFP but I am not one of them. I try not to test until AF is due as faint lines freak me out but I am good at holding out.

I have had that 'fluid' which is very similar to CM mid morning when DH and I dtd the night before so it could be that but extra CM can also definitely be a sign of pg so I hope this is it for you. Good luck!

yeppers... way way way too early! The earliest I have gotten a bfp is 12dpo... and im testing at 11dpo this month just because we have a local races thing on on Thursday and if not preg I plan on having some drinks..

Maybe hold out a couple of days and try again

don't get bummed girl!! 8dpo is way too early!!! most bfps come at 11 to 12dpo. so you got lotza time where the hcg rise is concerned!! take a deep breath, walk away from the tests and try to stay busy!!! good luck!!! hope you get two lines in the next couple of days!!

don't give up yet. I tested on 12dpo and got a bfn and then the next morning I got a super dark bfp. So 8dpo is way to early. I had lots of cm, I kept on wondering if I had O'd later that month. KUP good luck..........
