As part of the plan, my doc is putting me on progesterone as soon as I get pg again. I would like to start on them after I o. I have been researching everything and have seen conflicting reports. Some people say not to use them unless your doc prescribes and some reports/people say that it can't hurt. Has anyone started taking a supplement without the doc permission? If so, can you tell me about it? Does anyone recommend this course of action? Am I just being impatient and should I listen to the dr and wait until I am pg to use them. Thanks!

I can't see how it could hurt. I don't think I have a problem with progesterone levels, but my doc is making me take supplements as soon as I O, which should be in a few days. Sometimes if your progesterone is too low it might be already too late when you get your BFP to start taking it. Is the dr. not open to you taking it a bit sooner??? Maybe you should ask why.

that's exactly what i was wondering! i dont see why it would hurt to start after O. it seems to me that since i barely get into my 5th week and m/c then maybe i need to start the progesterone sooner. i have had ultrsounds both times and nothing is there, no sac, yolk or anything.

i just have so many things in my head about all this. i feel like if we get pg again, start progesterone and have another m/c then it will be for nothing. i feel like my time is running out and the dr is being so casual about it. maybe i need to see another doctor.

thanks for the input! i really appreciate it!

My progestrone levels came back super low when I got tested last month. A 1.5 My obgyn said that she wants to put me on progestrone when I get my bfp but I was thinking this very thing, why wait that extra 2 weeks if this is the cause?

If you take it after you o, but don't end up pregnant does it hurt you? Does it mess with your body at all?
