Hi girls,
Just thought I would pop on and let you know how I went at our first ultrasound today. We have a heartbeat!!! Baby is measuring right on time for when I o, 8 weeks, 5 days (2.1 cm!). My due date is 28th of April (day before DH's birthday).
I was so scared and had worked myself into a state by the time I got to my ob's! I couldn't look at the screen, just covered my eyes and waited. I have been freaking out the last few days but didn't want to post as I know I am blessed to be pg.
I managed to have an external scan this time which was good for a change. The ob had trouble measuring the baby at first as he/she wouldn't stop moving, very active little one. We even got pictures 
Ob couldn't measure the hb (he only has a small machine) but said it was really fast and healthy and the fact the baby was moving so much is a great sign. He said it is a very slim chance to m/c from this stage and is very confident everything will go well.
I can't tell you how relieved and happy we are. Obviously we know there is a long way to go but we are finally feeling we can get excited.
I have to go and buy some clothes for me tomorrow. Not maternity, just larger sizes. I have popped right out, my ob thought it might be twins when he saw my tummy but assured me there is only 1 very active baby in there! The reason I am showing so early is that my uterus is right on the front so the only way I have to go is out! I love my belly but because we can't tell people it is getting hard to hide it.

Thanks Sal. I am pretty happy at the moment!
Have my next scan in about 2 weeks. My ob said I didn't need to have it if I didn't want to but I want to see my baby again!

Congrats on a great appointment! And you have already passed 2 big milestones in that you are currently farther along than your losses. I have a great feeling about this one for you!

Great news. Now on to a totally boring pregnancy, just like mine. Remember a few aches and pains are normal, bub has to grow and your body has to stretch.

Thanks everyone! Have to say it's been hard to wipe the smile off my face! We have never gotten to see our babies before so very happy and thankful. I am still anxious and don't think I will ever fully relax but I am feeling a lot more confident than ever before.
Molly - I know, I should have listened to you all along, I promise to take notice next time 
Sending  to everyone. I know that there is a long way to go with this pg but I really hope I can give some hope to all of those that are still ttc.

Awe Mel, I'm so glad that lil beaner is right on target and a super active lil wiggle worm ahhhh, now you can sit back and relax a little, try to enjoy it from here on out. Ya there will be those moments of achiness, sleeplessness and anxiousnesss to meet your lil bean but it's normal!
I'm so happy to hear such a wonderful update on your u/s!
Any pixs? Or will you get some in a couple weeks at your next one?
