My nephew was born today, approx. 1 month after our baby should have been born. I thought that I would be so sad that I would embarrass myself by being weepy and grumpy whilst visiting the new baby. But I was not! It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Which makes me feel like I am not a horrible person.

I am definitely sad that I still have experienced that yet. But I am feeling positive that it will happen soon... Let's see how long it takes for negativity to kick in again.

Erica,

Well done on being so brave & strong to see your nephew. Even if you did 'flip out' a little, you are not a horrible person - it's just our way of dealing with things.

You know, it's easy for people to say 'stay positive', 'don't think negative thoughts or what you don't want', but crap I've been trying to do that for nearly 12 months and sometimes you do need to 'reflect' - that's not negative but I believe part of our healing process. I hope you get your BFP & forever baby soon.

Congrats to your sis/sil.

I'm really proud of you for keeping it together. I'm not sure I could have done that but it just proves how strong you are! Hugs!

Congrats on being so strong. When my niece was born I was a mess. But after I met her and held her I felt better. Not better in that I was not sad anymore but better because I had done a very hard thing and survived it (it was only 3 months since my miscarriage). I know I can survive whatever is thrown at me now.

Again I am proud of you for taking a hard step and surviving!

You are so much stronger than I am. A month after my first loss with DB (almost a year ago) his sister had a baby. I couldn't even hold him it hurt so much. I managed to stay in the same room with him for an hour but it just hurt so much to even look at him.

My SIL and I were about 3 weeks apart with my pregnancy in Jan. She delivered on Aug 26th, My EDD was Sept 18th. It was very hard to see her pregnant, and hear her complain about the pregnancy. When my neice Summer, was born I did go to the hospital, and hold her. It wasn't as hard.. what is hard now is hearing about her.. since I just had my third my m/c... HUGS to you for being so strong!
