I've been MIA for a while, because of TTC difficulties and a 2 week vacation. I really appreciated your support while going with my m/c and hope to be more active, to support all of you in your endeavors.
I seem to be experiencing some secondary infertility after my m/c. I'm continuing to have short LP's. I had a 7 DPO blood draw for progesterone that was extremly low at 5.6. My MD wanted to put me on clomid to help with that until i told her I bled off and on for 18 days this cycle. I bled a long time with the cycle before as well. She's suspecting ovarian cysts. I'm going for an ultrasound on my next cd 7. For now, i'm on progesterone for my lp. I'm kind of in a weird place in my head right now. Never expected to have to go to such lengths to concieve and carry a baby.
Did anyone else have big changes in their cycles after a pregnancy/ miscarriage?

For about 3 months after my first miscarriage I had all sorts of "pains" and twinges. I also had longer than normal cycles - but nothing as extreme as what you are experiencing. I am glad you are getting some help from your doctor though. I hope that means you will be on the right path very soon!

Alice, yes I can relate to your wacky cycles since m/c. I dont even think I o'd right after my m/c for the first two months. I had a shorter than normal lp for the first 3 months too. Started taking B6 on the 4th cylce and they have increased back to a good 12 days. But, it is still 2 days shorter than my pre-m/c lp length. I think it is pretty normal to have this for a few months, from what I have read on line.
I hope the supplements right now do their job and your next u/s reveals good results. Please KUP and I also can relate to the weird place in your head too.

It has been 5 months for me and my body is still alllllll over the place. I started a journal this month to kind of track my symptoms and feelings and I think I am going to start taking my temperature and charting a little (thanks Lori!). I have always been one of those lucky girls that have never had cramping, now I find myself starting to cramp just past ovulation all the way to AF! My progestrone was at 1.2 (so low) but my doctor doesn't want to give it to me. I don't feel like going to an RE so I will just kind of track my body and see what happens.
I am glad you found your way back here! How was your vacation? Go anywhere fun?

Thanks ladies. It's good to know that craziness after m/c can be somewhat normal. I'm hoping it will work itself out in a few months.
To answer your question, I went to Block Island Rhode Island with a girlfriend. Poor hubby was on his own for almost two weeks. It was very relaxing though, and exactly what I needed. Got back in time to ovulate lol!

Welcome back Alice.
For about 6 - 8 months post m/c I had heavier cycles (but not by too much) and the cramping was much different. It wasn't worse, but before AF would start, I would get achy legs for a day. Several times I thought that I was getting the flu. Thankfully that has gone away.

Hi Alice...
My very very very first loss 9 years ago was @ 5wks, it made my cycles wacky afterwards. It fluctuated in length (long and short cycles) before things got to a "norm" consistant length and I cannot remember my luteal phase as it was so long ago. (w/ex)
(remarried now) The losses we've had this summer, I was told it would be "different" afterwards that it could take several cycles to get back on track... I'll have to get back to you on this as things aren't normal yet. They're not far off, but not my norm prior to my 2 losses.

Welcome back Alice. I hope that your dr. can figure out what is going on so you can get that BFP. For me I found that AF was much longer than it used to be 9 days instead of the usual 5 since the m/c and I also seem to be missing CM nowadays.

Hello!
After my molar earlier this summer, my doctor put me on birth control (since I'm not able to start trying until 6 months after my levels reach 0) So my cycles were right on track. But my body was soooo out of whack. I have all kinds of pulling and twinges of pain all through my cycle and a bit of mid-cycle spotting.
Glad to hear you had a nice relaxing vacation! Good luck this cycle!!!!
