When can I expect to ovulate??

Can I expect to ovulate approx 10-14 days after my HCG levels have dropped back to 0??

Here's my "timeline":

D&C 8/28
Bled until approx 9/11
HCG Levels on 9/15 = 5
HCG Levels on 9/22 = 2
HCG Levels on 9/29 = 0
Ovulate approx. 10/9 - 10/13 ??
AF if not TTC approx. 10/23 - 10/27 ??

I would like to test via OPK but have no clue when to start testing?? When did you start testing?? I'm sorry - I've never done this before and it's all little confusing??

Do you know your usual cycle lenght prior to d&c? Its really hard to say after a d&c when you will ovulate. Normally 2wks once you hit 0 on your HCG. However many women dont O at all for a couple of months after d&c. So, if I were you, I would start testing now. Just use cheaper opk's until you start to see a darker line, then if you like switch to a more reliable brand. I use Clear Blue Easy digital, they are expensive, but there is no guessing if the line is dark enough with these.

Also, its important to note your cm and if you temp on a chart, I would start now as well. OPK's only tell you if your getting ready to O, they do not cofirm if you have or not.

You may find that you ovulate immediately after your levels reach 0. I ovulated 13 days after my d&c (I'm not exactly sure when my level reached 0)....everyone is different, but if I were you I would start testing now to make sure you catch the surge. I test at least twice a day (sometimes 3-4 times a day) between 10am and 8pm because I've missed my surge before - it can sometimes come and go in a matter of hours. Do you chart your temperature? I personally think this is more reliable than the OPKs....because you can have an LH surge but not actually ovulate and the only way to tell is by a confirmed thermal shift. I hope you catch that eggie!!!

I think it is really different for everyone, but I had m/c on 9/13 and I started O'ing today with heavy CM. The OB confirmed it yesterday so it is possible to O really soon after, although I didn't have d & c.

Thanks for all the replies. My cycle used to be right at 30 days before my d&c. I don't chart my temperature or anything... I was planing on waiting until my next regular AF and then TTC again but I'm not sure when to expect my AF since my HCG levels had to be monitored and it took a couple of weeks for them to be back down to zero... With my first m/c I did not have to have a d&c and my AF came 30 days after I stopped bleeding from the m/c.... I guess I will just wait for my AF to come (whenever that might be lol) and then test with the OPK's...if I don't get a BFP that way I will look into charting etc.

I don't have much advice but I already feel as if I am Oing. We will see if I'm right. I haven't even gone in to check if my levels are back to 0 yet. I'm supposed to go in this week sometime. Last Tuesday they were at 24 and Sunday it was around 103 so I'm sure they are down to zero if they were dropping that fast.. I had a natural m/c though. As others said it really depends, some may ovulate early and some may take awhile to. Good luck!
