I just have to say that I wish I would have gone after my 2nd miscarriage.... maybe then I wouldn't of just had my third. But we can't change the past so...

Anyway, it was AWESOME!! He said something like... this is all I do, I don't deliver babies, I help women get pregnant and have healthy pregnancies. He was GREAT. He listened to me and didn't make me feel stupid when I told him about all the stuff I take and do to get pregnant. He already mentioned a couple of things we will do next cycle (If i am don't get pregnant this cycle) including prometrium (sp?), cor... something... I can't remember, and he said to start taking a baby asprin a day now. I think I was the only patient there!! It was sooo quiet and so completely different than my OBGYN's office which always has tons of people and the doctor always seems rushed.

He is also going to run the following tests: (a few were already done by my OB... like the HSG, TSH, prolactin, and the anicardiolipin... so they will not redo those).

Factor V (Leiden Mutation)
Antithrombin III quantitative & qualitative
Protein C
Protein S
Factor II: Prothrombin mutation G20210A
Methylene tetra hydro folate reductase mutation
Fasting homocysteine
Lupus anticoagulant
Progesterone
Chem 12 + Lipids + GAC
Factor V Activity

OHHHH... and because it is like CD 20 today... I am getting these tests done tomorrow!!! So YEAH for me!! Now I won't have to wait till next cycle to get this done!!! Anyway, it was GREAT and I am very hopeful that he will help me have a successful pregnancy!!

I am glad it went well! Do RE deal with recurrent loss cases or just infertility?

Apparently they do!! When I called last week, I explained what was going on with me and they said I was definitely coming to the right place! I was worried because even though I have had 3 miscarriages, they were not in a row (DD was conceived after the first 2). Dh asked the RE if he would have seen us after the first 2 and he said YES. I really wish I would have gone back then. I mean everything worked out for us since we have my daughter. But maybe we wouldn't have had this 3rd miscarriage!

Are you thinking about making an appointment with an RE or just curious??
