No real news. But I went and saw her. I love my doctor. she did not agree to do progesterone testing or blood clotting tests but she did some research with me in her office and we ruled out the "normal" stuff that causes recurrent miscarriages. I didn't think she would recognize my "situation" as reccurrent miscarriages since so many things I have read says 3 is recurrent. Anyway, she gave me lots of reassurance and is doing some regular blood and urine analysis. And she wants to see me in 2 weeks (normally 4 weeks).
We talked about early ultrasound and we are going to talk about it at the next appointment. She said there is no reason to do one medically but that if I feel like I want to know about the viability of the pregnancy in a few weeks we will talk about the pros and cons and ultimately it will be my decision.
She also told me NO MORE BOOTCAMP (which I kinda knew already) and she also told me (gently) to stop running. She said given my situation I should "walk fast" but stop running.
Oh and if (really hope not) but if I have a 3rd miscarriage she will send me to a specialist.
So all in all a good appointment but not too much "news".

Michelle, it sounds like it was at least informative and very comfortable for you. Is regular blood work going to do a series of beta's for you? Does not sound like you are stressing too much, and maybe her more laxed approach is just what you need to take it easy! This is going to be a wonderful pregnancy, start enjoying it mama!

thats great news Michelle. I was wondering about the boot camp and running thing and Im glad that she advised you to ease up on it all.. because, to be honest, I had been worried about you. I have everything crossed that it all works out this time.

Sounds like you had a great talk wit your doctor! It's a little reassuring that she is so willing to research things right there with you and talk about your concerns, her taking them into consideration and being a "team" with you!
It's great to hear you sound so positive Michelle! Thank goodness!

Bel - thanks for your concern. I was going to stop Boot Camp anyway but I didn't think there would be any reason to stop running. She said normally it would be ok to keep running but given my past losses I should stop. We have not even been running that much lately and would likely have slowed down even more with winter coming (going to snow here on THURSDAY!!).
Marci - I go back on Oct 19th

I'm glad that she's willing to see you more frequently and will even entertain an u/s before 12 weeks. I'm hoping and praying that this one sticks for you!

Glad to hear it went well!!! But, I do say that the stopping running thing is kinda wierd (to me at least). Running should not put you at any other risk in early pregnancy at all. Obviously if there are other issues (incompetent cervix), it's dangerous to do it later with a baby pressing down on you. In fact, the newest guidance for pregnancy exercise is that it's OK to do more intense stuff.
I'm just curious if there was some other connection your Dr. was worried about. I actually had cut down on my running the last time I was pregnant and both my ob/gyns asked me why and said there was no reason to cut back (I wasn't training for a marathon or anything crazy...just regular running). So I started running again...we ended up losing that pg but everyone said the exercise had nothing to do with it.

Liz - if I had pushed it I would have been "allowed" to run. But I have not been running that long and have no reason to keep running (besides the physical activity which I am now getting from curling 2 nights a week) so I didn't push it. And she did say that running is normally not an issue but because we don't really know yet what caused either miscarriage she thought it was best not to take the chance. I would have been cutting down on the running anyway so like I said - I didn't push the issue.
