Well I am back from the RE Appt was for 215 (had to be thier 30 min before, got thier at 135) Didn't get out untill almost 400 ......first off, Dr Sobel is very nice .. Went over all mine and Tom's Past medical history. He said with the blood work I have had done, he can not exclude nor confirm that I have clotting issues. He has ordered another 30 blood tests ranging from more Clotting tests (test that were not done by my OB that will tell us if I do have a clotting issue) to other tests that were not done by my OB ... All have to be done BEFORE my Day 1 rolls back around. (He wants them done ASAP...) Than on my CD3 and CD10 I will have more blood work done while on medication (Clomid 2 pills orally being taken daily between CD 5-9) . ... I will than have to schedule HSG (Hysterosalpingogram) done between CD 6-11. Than a Hysteroscopy done also between CD 6-11 but can only be done on Wed.(that is the day they have the space at the hospital) Tom also has to go for a battery of blood tests (Chromosomal and others) and a semen analysis.. just to look at the morphology.. Since their hasn't been an issue of getting pregnant.. he really wasn't even going to schedule him for a SA. But decided to. They also will do one more HCG on me to make sure my levels are down to 0. They did do an U/S today while I was thier, to make sure everything "looked" normal.. And he said my ovaries, tubes and the uterus appeared normal on the U/S. But the two tests above will look more closely at that.
He wants me to stay on one baby aspirin. (I got yelled at for taking 2) And keep taking the 1800 mcg of Folic acid I am taking.. and stay on the prenatal's I am on that have the B's in it.. If the tests come back + for the clotting he will put me on Folgard. (It has high dose folic acid, and B's all in one pill)
He said IF I should get pregnant before all these tests... He will follow me closely. I wanted a plan for when I get pregnant.. As long as the blood work comes back clear (as in normal, no clotting issues) .. he will not put me on Lovenox. Just keep me on the baby aspirin.
SO IN WRAPS......... I STILL FEEL LIKE I HAVE ZERO ANSWERS! Ok... I know I have a lot of tests ahead before I get answers... BUT I WANT THEM NOW! I will get the blood work tomorrow.. and maybe just maybe some results will be back before I have to go in tomorrow night or Thurs.. SO I can peek again at work...
Sorry so long
Ok here is this list... Oh and I now hold the record for the Phlebotomist who drew my blood... Her record was 15..... She drew 17 tubes from me...
This Dr's office draws EVERYTHING!! Leaves no stone unturned! Even things I know will come back Neg.. (I donate blood ever few months.. I KNOW I don't have HIV)

It sucks to have to wait for more test results, BUT things are moving along and you're getting that much closer to know for sure what is going on... that's awesome he did an u/s there today and that your girl bits are all looking good!!! That's one less thing to question and I hope it puts your mind at ease.
Altho' he couldn't give you all the answers you're looking for today, there will be plenty in the near future as the BW results start popping in. Did he say about when they would be ready from the day you have them done?
Are you excited to start the clomid?
You called it with the fact he'd probably fuss at ya for taking 2 baby asprin...
Well I'm glad you have updated us on your RE appt... it sounds productive even tho you don't feel like you have the answers now. I'm sorry that it's been so hectic and stressful, that you weren't given all the answers and solutions today!
to you honey, you ARE A TROOPER!!!!

Holy jeebus batman! That is allot of testing... some of those look familiar for early pregnancy testing too. I sure hope this is it.... that you and DH get some resolution! Praying that it is something simple and that it is easy to treat / take care of so that you two can be *expecting* an arrival in the near future It's so good to know that you have a very thourough doctor willing to take the time to go thru all the testing & possibilities... Sure hope you're regaining some *hope* there lady!!!
You're a very STRONG woman, look how far you've come along to this point holding yourself together Kary!!!! WOW!!!! Pat yourself on the back

I know you want answers now, I mean, who doesn't hate waiting, but I think it's great that you're getting all these test done. I really hope you get some answers soon and figure out just what you need to do. It sounds like you've got a good Dr. on your side.

Kary I know you want answers now but at least he is listening to you and is going to help you look for the problem. I pray that they find a problem and it is a small fixable one!! Hopefully soon you will have that BFP!

holy cow...that's a lot of tests he's going to run. I'm glad he is being so proactive. Hopefully you can get your answers soon (at least you can peek ahead of time). even though you feel like you have to wait a bit longer...I hate waiting....it sounds like a great appointment.

I know it's frustrating to have to wait, but at least you'll have answers in a month or so. Hang in there!

I didn't see lupus anticoagulants on the list of tests or MTHFR have you been tested for those and if not, are they going to?
Also, if you come back positive for something like Factor V Leiden, will he start Lovenox?

Alicia.. Those tests were done last month... the Lupus can back Negative. But I did test postive for a MTHFR A1298C Homozygous mutation. And if another clotting issue come up than yes IF I get pregnant again Lovenox is an option. But if everything comes back fine.. I will only stay on the one baby aspirin.. UNLESS when I see the Hemetologist on Monday.. he says other wise.

Wow, I was impressed that they took 8 vials from me yesterday!!! I hope you get the results soon. I really wish I had thought to get my labs drawn at work for the benefit of seeing the results before the doctor LOL...darn it! I'm a nurse at a Childrens Hospital. well, next time I will think of that I hope, if there is a next time (hopefully it's with a BFP that sticks!) I'm thinking of you and sending you peaceful thoughts to get you through to CD 1!!!
