How long did you wait to try again? I am 36 so I am not getting any younger. I started bleeding today. I will go back and have my betas rechecked on Monday, but as long as they are going down I see no reason why I would need to wait. This was a very early loss. I am just not sure if I am up to trying, but I don't know that I can handle *not trying* either. Anyhow, I figure I'm winging it at the moment and we'll just see how I feel after the bleeding stops. I'm scared to death of having another loss at this moment.

I started this cycle too. My first since my loss on 9/22. I started using opks right away just incase my cycle would be messed up from the m/c. I did not O for two months after my loss in April, but I was much further along. Well, I did O on cd14 and I ususally O on cd12, so not too far off the mark. Im using progesterone this time from my 3dp until 12dpo or a bfp. My dr. suggested it, and said it will work better if started right after o'ing v's waiting for the bfp which is sometimes to late.
So with you having had a chemical/early m/c, I would say there is no medical reason why you cannot start right away. But without seeing a dr. for further testing as to why you have had two of these this year, there is no guarantee that it won't happen again. That is the hard part. I will be seeing my RE in the next couple of weeks for my full blood workup, but in the meantime I feel comfortable trying again with taking the prometrium and the baby aspirin. But I know the risks involved, and without my full blood work up, I might not have all my bases covered with the supplements. Im praying this does the job, if I do get BFP this cycle since I have 4 healthy pregnancy's with no MA.
Good luck with your decision, either way its really up to you.

Thier is no reason medically to wait, if your body is not ready it will not get pregnant. And thier is no increase in m/c to try again right away.. If you do m/c again then you should have testing done since it could be another reason why you are having reacurant m/c.
For me.. We tried right away after our first m/c in Nov (very early no reason why) We concieved in Dec. I went on to M/C that one due to a chromosomal issue. It took us 7 months to concieve this last time... again ending in m/c. I have now seen an RE, and will be seeing a Hematologist on Monday.. We have decided to try again this month.. since I have now seen the RE and the Blood tests are done.. just waiting for the results.. so If it comes down to having a full force clotting issue.. since I have been Diag with a MTHFR A1298C Homozygous mutaion that can have a elevated risk for bloodclots.. this COULD be causeing the m/c's.
GOOD LUCK! I hope you get your sticky BFP soon! HUGS

I figured I should clarify. I have not had 2 losses in a year, just two in a row. The last one I had was in 2007. I took a break from ttc after that and decided to work on losing weight instead. I really just didn't think it would happen twice and I thought me being 75 lbs lighter and in better over all health would help. I think my age is playing a big factor at this point so I am kind of afraid to wait. I am afraid the longer I wait the worse the situation would become. My last loss isn't in my chart and since I have 6 children I am not sure if they will investigate anything anyways. I am very lucky to have the children I have so please don't anyone think I am ungrateful or greedy, but we really would like to have one more. Thanks for the warm welcome. I was a little nervous posting here.

Oh dont be nervous at all posting here. We can all relate on the pain and questions that come after a loss. I actually look up to you because on some of the other boards I go to, you are always so upbeat and willing to help the girls out even when they are not appreciative of your time.
Me personally - after the 2ww of the D&C we used a condom once and decided we were ready to try again. Different doctors say different things based on an individual situation.
It doesn't matter how many children you have and you are not being greedy at all. I am 40 and have 3 boys and want 2 more and I don't think I am greedy at all.
I am so sorry for your loss.

Teresa, you sound like me. I'm also 36 have 3 kids and all of a sudden am having one loss after another (first my missed m/c at 12weeks and now 2 early losses in a row). I have gone to an RE and he did a whole bunch of tests. Turns out that it is my egg quality due to my age. Just because you are older and have kids already doesn't mean that your dr. can't run some tests to rule certain things out. Have you had your thyroid checked?? I kind of feel the same way, I'm terrified of trying again because I don't want to go through another loss, but I just can't give up....to me it's personal now! It's so hard just to say "oh well, I guess I'm not meant to have any more kids" when I so want to be pregnant again and have another baby so badly. Good luck with whatever you decide!

I decided to go for it this cycle. I was emotionally messed up for a couple of days, especially since we had just told everyone.... but since it ended up being a chemical pregnancy, after having a good cry about it and talking to my SO- we decided to continue doing everything s we have been.

I am still waiting to bleed but DH and I have talked about it and we're going to continue TTC actively as soon as I O. After my last chemical, I went back to 30 days cycles, so I'm hoping that will be the case again this time. Let me know if you want to talk- I missed our chat today!
BTW, I don't think any of us think you're being greedy- you'll know when you feel your family is complete, imo. Good luck and I hope we'll both be in a DDC soon together for the full 40 weeks!
