As a lof of you know, I had a chemical pregnancy. The doctor confirmed it this past Wednesday and my hcg was 0.5. My question is- I don't have any cramping and I haven't had even one spot of blood. Is this common? The office said to call Monday if I haven't started bleeding, but how common is this? The doctor did mention that I might need a D&C and then he would do a scope at the same time. Any of your experiences are very helpful, thanks!

Jacque... your levels are 0.5? I am surprised your Doc would suggest a D/C. I was above 50 for over two weeks... they were suggesting a d/c since my numbers were not dropping.. and waited one more week.. and my numbers were down to 15... and I started to bleed later that week. I would think at 0.5 you should start soon. I am surprised you are not bleeding already. Since that is such a low number.. I read somewere that anything under 2 is concidered to be negative pregnant. I hope you start soon so you can move on... HUGS

Yeah, he talked about the D&C before the results were back. I'm just impatient and really want to move on, you know? And yes, they said it was negative, but it just proved that I had indeed been pregnant, which was always just been in the back of my mind.

Did you ovulate after the D&C? I'm not exactly sure how that works, and I know that it varies from woman to woman, but just curious.

You know... I don't think I did until a few months.. after the D/E..... I had OPK's that were close.. but I only had one positive and that was in July... that was my first Darker line... And I concieved the following cycle... I think the d/c really screw=ed up my cycles..

There's no telling as to when you'll start bleeding... when your levels zero out and if you haven't bled at all then yes you should start soon. At as low as your levels are, I'm also surprised that you haven't started bleeding. Hang in there it WILL happen, of course you want to move on already as we all have felt the very same way as you!!!
As much as we may want something to happen, our bodies will do things when they are ready... will your doc be rechecking your levels again? Or any sort or of check-up? I definitely and highly recommend staying in touch with your doctor, but I would avoid procedures unless absolutely needed. Good luck and KUP
hang in there!

I want to say sorry for your loss and I hope AF shows up soon. With my last m/c I was almost 6 weeks and I didn't start to bleeed until a week after I started spotting (and got a true af 29 days later and I even O'd) and with my first loss in Feb I had a D&C it took about 6 weeks to get a AF but my cycles were screwy for about 3-4 cycles goodluck.

Hmm, I am surprised you haven't started bleeding yet. I wonder what your progesterone levels are. I don't know what to tell you hun. I started spotting Friday night and have had light bleeding the past 2 days. I imagine since you and I were pretty much cycle buddies that it would start soon, but I would definitely follow up with your doctor if you don't start bleeding soon. (((Hugs)))
