Yesterday morning I took a FRER and a $tree (I got some whilst in Seattle visiting friends because Canada's version "Procare" SUCKS) and the FRER was the same as the day before, and the $tree was darker than the day before. Today I took a $tree and it is lighter than yesterday's. I didn't take a FRER today because I ran out. I am also feeling a little achy in my uterus.... I have no spotting though... Should I be worried? Is watching the lines on a HPT a good way of telling if HCG is rising? Should I go get more FRERs? I am so scared!

Have you had any beta levels drawn yet? The only thing I can say is that Dollar Tree tests are not always the best, so those tests may not be the best indicators. I would call the Dr. and see if you can get bloodwork done if you are that worried and stressed. HUGS! I hope everything is OK. KUP.

I agree I would see if you can get your beta levels drawn and your progesterone levels checked. I have noticed with HPTs that the lines do get darker, but your urine concentration can really affect the results so it's not really the best indicator.

No it's not the best way to watch it Erica, really quantitive beta hcg levels are... they measure the hcg levels several times to see how well it is rising (doubling time) which is usually 36-48hrs. Have you made an OB appt or talked about getting your levels checked?
KUP Erica!
I don't think twinges in your uterus means impending mc, it has weird twinges anyways with the changing of the lining, implantation and swelling. So it coule be anything! It's not easy right now, since everything is going to worry you... just hang in there and call your doc to set up some bloodwork

Hugs... and stop peeing on sticks! stop! They are definitely not at all a good way to tell how things are progressing, especially this early - they're definitely not quantitative unless you're comparing 4 weeks to 8. I agree with the other girls, why don't you ask the Dr. for some betas? Twinges and aches are normal, so don't let those bother you! Hugs! I know how scary this is!

It's definitely not the best way. There can be differences in how sensitive an HPT is even if they come in the same box. That can cause a lighter line on another test even if your levels are actually rising!

Im sorry your stressing Erica, I think all women who have had multiple m/c's do this with the hpts. The dollar trees are not a good indicator though. If you were taking FRER's every day and they were getting lighter every day, than I would worry. Really the only way to know for sure is a blood draw though. Your urine concentration can really affect the results. I called for betas when my FRER's were getting lighter and Im glad I did, as I had an ectopic.
Im praying for you, KUP, AND please call your dr.

You gotta stop POAS or else you'll go batty...the way I did. What you should do is relax, enjoy your pregnancy and go get a bt to check for hcg lelves. I totally understand your fears and that is exactly what I was doing...spending a fortune on epts and watching the line get lighter. As someone told me the dye in those tests is different all th time, so you cold have just gotten one with less dye in it this time. I know you want to see that line get darker. HUGS!!! but trust me, looking at those lines will just stress you out.

HUGS for what you are feeling.....
I know it is hard not POAS... I did it... and I have to say that is the way I knew that my numbers were not rising... I did it all on FRER.. and the line was getting darker.. confirmed by Blood tests that my HCG was rising... When I got my blood drawn that Monday my level was 91.... I continued to check two days later... the line was the same... I thought ok... maybe it was the test .. the next day I tested from a new box... and the same line showed up when I went to the Dr on Friday.. my level was only 93... I am not telling you this to scare you.. I am only giving you my experiance.... And to monitor that my levels were going down... I again watched the lines get lighter.. But they were always on a FRER.... I didn't change up tests.. until the end.. when my numbers were under 15... I used a digi...

Hugs hun! I agree with the other ladies. I would stop POAS. Ask your doctor to do BT and I'm sending you loads of sticky dust!

I have to go with Kary on this... With my last 3 losses, I found out something was wrong by the HPT tests.
Do not trust $tree test though.
I really hope you have a sticky bean!
