I am so PO'd right now. We just bought out our van a couple of months ago and my headlight died on Wednesday. Easy thing to fix righ? WRONG! Right away DH started whining that the car is breaking down already...so negative sometimes. grrrr! Anyway I said, it's not that hard to buy and change the bulb. We went to Canadian Tire and got a light bulb, but the silly man started to change it in the parking lot instead of waiting to get home. He just couldn't get the new bulb in and left it hanging in the light. Well when we got home it had melted the inside casing of the headlight. Wonderful! I took the car to a couple of places today and both told me that it's melted so bad it's made the opening too wide and now we can't screw the lightbulb in, it will be lose and probably just fall out and start burning other stuff. Guess what......I have to replace the whole light...$450 + labour. Ouch! I just don't have that kind of money right now. Moral of the story, don't try to change your own lightbulbs unless you know what you are doing. I feel like crying! Hopefully we can get away with driving with only one headlight for a little while.
