I saw the RE this morning. Funny, most of the protocal I already knew, just from reading the boards here at JM!

There were a couple of things that I did learn though, even though "I think I know it all"!
This dr. is very good, older French Dr. with a nice accent! (love the french). Im on cd9 and he is wasting no time. I go back on Wed. for my first follie scan and blood work. Another follie scan on Friday. Then next Friday, more blood to see how my Estrogen/Progesterone levels are. We did miss the cd3 FSH testing and AMH screen, but he will take care of that next cycle.
He showed no concern of my age, never even mentioned it, so he got brownie points for that

. He is interested in my FSH and AMH due to cancer treatments 2yrs. ago. I had to take an anti-estrogen medication for 2.5yrs after radiation and this could of caused damage to my egg reserve. The medication I took is called Tamoxifan and it is almost identical to Clomid. This is the reason why women cannot be on clomid for very long without taking breaks. Both act as estrogen blockers and when taken too long can cause damage to the eggs.
Since I have conceived three times this year, he feels hopeful that medications will be my cure. Even with low ovarian reserve/quality. We will know more about that next cycle. He is adiment that I refrain from ttc this cycle as he needs this cycle to follow through on all the tests. He did say next cycle would be a go, as he will have all the blood work in this month and be able to monitor my ovulation this week.
Im very currious to see how my eggs measure up Wed and Friday this week. He is looking for a nice 20mm folicle and explained the importance of having a nice size follie. He said that causes of reaccurent m/c's is largely based on women ovulating premature eggs. And in my age group, this is a big factor. He also explained the importance of knowing your estrogen/progesterone levels after ovulating. I did not know how important estrogen was after ovulation as we usually talk about low progesterone. But high estrogen will cause the body to m/c naturally.(chemical pregnancy). He said to high of estrogen is like the "morning after pill".
And of course all of these disorders can be cleared up with the right amount of medication, thats the good news.
Will KUP with my scans and bw in the following days. I feel like Im in med school, lots of interesting stuff going on in their!
