You can O up to 36 hours after your first + OPK so generally speaking you could have O'd yesterday, today or even tomorrow. And the egg can live up to 12 hours so you could be fertile through Friday...make sense? If you are getting tired of BDing (I completely understand!) try every other day...if you did it yesterday, skip today and do it tomorrow. A lot of experts recommend every other day anyway. But do whatever you feel comfortable with.

And, I've had "O" pain a couple of days before I actually O'd...I guess things were just gearing up!

I hope you catch that eggie!!!

That is completely normal to have O pain that long. I have it sometimes up to three days before I actually O. That is usually how I know it's over because the pain just completely stops. I agree with Krystal on the BD schedule, especially if your getting tired of it. I've heard from several others that it is actually best to skip days sometimes because it lets his sperm build up which gives you a higher chance of conceiving. Also, I know it is really hard to time this, but I believe the best time to BD that gives you the highest chance is the day before you O. I may be wrong but that is what I have always been told and learned just from studying the female body in college biology and human sexuality (that was an interesting class LOL). Like I said, it is really hard to time it, but the way I used to do it is I would get my OPK with 7 sticks and when I would start to get O pain, I would start testing. I know my O pain is around 3 days so I knew the best day for me would probably be day 2 of O pain so thats when I would BD. Plus, I would pay attention to the color of the sticks and when the shade starts to turn slightly darker (not as dark as the control line, just a little lighter) I usually knew then that I would most likely O the next day. I know all of this sounds crazy and not very scientific but that's how it worked for me last time. Unfortunately, it ended up in miscarraige but at least I know that paying attention to my body seemed like the easiest way for me to do it without losing my mind. Sometimes, it's the best thing for a woman. Anyway, sorry this was so long but I hope it helps.

I understand completely. When I wasn't trying, I never noticed O pain at all. If I did, I probably just blew it off as gas cramps or something LOL. Now, it's my main sign that O is about to happen. I know how confusing all this can be believe me. I remember last year when I first started using OPK's and I was wondering if I was doing everything right. I was like "all I have to do is keep peeing on these sticks until I have two dark lines" but why did that seem so complicated to me. Yeah it sounds like maybe if you BD tonight, you will be good if you want to take a break. But, if you feel more comfortable BDing both nights, I say go for it! baby dust!

I hear you about the bd'ing...if there was such a thing as too much of a good thing, this would surely be it.
To answer your question, when I O I pretty much know that my egg has been releeased or is about to. I can tell because of the way my dr. was monitoring me and when I took the hcg shot I felt the pain exactly 36 hours after the shot. I think it's the fluid that iritates you when the egg bursts that causes the pain. Anyway that's just me.
As far as bd'ing, I think if you do it tonight and tomorrow just to be safe, you've got all the bases covered. The egg only lives for 24 hours, but the spermies can curvive up to 5 days. Good luck!!! Hope this is it!

Thanks Trish!
I am so sorry to keep asking these basic questions, but this is all new to me and I never knew it was so hard and so much to time/think about.
