I found out yesterday my aunt had THREE miscarriages before she went on to have my cousin J, I wonder how many before my other cousins too? This is an aunt on my Dad's side and on my mother's side my aunt & grandmother had stillborns it skipped my mom... it's sort of alarming, but I'm trying to hold my head up despite that news.

I know how you feel. I found out that two of my aunts had 5 -7 and my husbands mom had 5 (two before his older sister and three before him). Its scary but keeping your head up is really the best thing to do.

My grandma on my mom's side at least 2 miscarriages and one still birth. My mom had 2 miscarriages. I don't know anything about my dad's mom though.

That is scary to find out though. Hopefully it skipped you!!

It's kind of sad when you realize how common m/c are. To be honest I have met so many people in my life that have had 2-3 miscarriages.

Well...as sad as it is to find out of someone else having gone through this, we can all take comfort in the fact that it is more common than we think and that there is hope for us to have healthy babies even after multiple m/c.

I wish that people were more comfortable sharing their experiences so that others can seek support. I will definitely share with my kid(s) that they have an older sibling in heaven.

honey.

I understand how you feel. I have a sister who had 4 miscarriages and one stillbirth before having her daughter and son. She had another miscarriage after them. Another sister has had 1 miscarriage (from trauma) and a blighted ovum.

It really doesn't necessarily mean anything for you, though. Another sister has had a baby with no losses, another sister had 4 children with no losses, and my brother has had 3 babies with no losses. My mother had 11 with no losses.

Kim - ITA.
