I just took the FRER fertility test this morning. I am on cd3 (I know ff says cd2, but not sure how to fix that.) Anyhow, it's not probably a real cd3 and I know I shouldn't count this test, but I am not going to lie it has me very concerned. If this was an OPK I would consider it positive so now I am a little freaked out. I can't find anything anywhere about FSH levels after m/c. This may definitely put a change in our plans. I am just not sure how and not sure what to think. I am bringing this info to my appt on Tuesday so that should help convince them to run an FSH test next cycle, but now I don't know what to think. I am going to retest next cycle with the other test, but now I am really stressed.

Teresa, the test is invalid. The instrutions state not to use this test if you were pregnant or are pregnant within 60 days I think. Please do not put to much weight into this test. The reason for not taking it so soon after loss is because your body is in overdrive to correct the hormone balance again. Its not about HCG, its about your estrogen, progesteron, lh, and FSH. They all work together, and when you loose a baby, at any stage, these hormones get all out of wack.

This is why Im having mine repeated next month, because I was at exactly 60 days after loosing a baby too. You just lost yours in the last week!

Take the test with you, talk to your dr., but really.........dont stress about this right now, the test is really invalid. Your going to be ok.

I got my head a little clearer now. I know that test is probably completely invalid and am going to stop worrying about this one for now. I am not even sure if I want to have my FSH levels checked or not right now. I don't know. I do know that I need to find a new doctor that can help me sort out what I need tested and what I don't if my plan is to not pursue fertility treatment, but just m/c prevention. I am not sure if dh would want to use any fertility aids if that would help lower significantly m/c rates or not. I just need to find a new doctor to help me sort this out and am really stressed out about finding one.

Teresa, just so you know, and Im not sure if you really get this right now or not, but multiple m/c's for most of us in here (TTCAL) means having to see an RE because we do need to use fertilily treatments. There might be a very simple explanation for your multiple losses, like progesterone for example. But alot of here, its more complicated. Like blood clotting disorders, high FSH, low quality eggs, low estrogen, not surging quick enough in our cycles, surging to quick, and the list go's on.

The only m/c prevention we can use is to seek fertility treatment and use medications to prevent our losses. We might need clomid, trigger shots, IVF, IUI, and other treatments to get our babies to stick. Not necessarily to get pregnant, but to actually have our babies get beyond early pregnancy.

Try to keep your mind open to all possibility's. A womens fertility is so complex, there are so many factors why we have mulitiple losses, hopefully for you its an easy fix. I trully hope and pray so.
