This is my first cycle post m/c. My bleeding started Oct. 31st. and i had a natural m/c. On Friday Nov. 13th (cd 14) my cm was ew consistency, and I started feeling O pains. Yesterday i took a opt and it was negative. I thought that maybe i o'ed on Sat. and that was why it was negative. Well today's opt was positive (cd17). My cm is now creamy, and im having af type of cramping

During my past 4 cycles i ovulated on cd 15, and have o pains, but not cramps. The cramps are pretty mild, but now im worried that maybe its left over from the m/c? I was supposed to get my levels checked Friday to make sure they were down to 0, but still have not gone. They were down to 26 on Nov. 5th. Ive also been feeling a little off in general. Slightly dizzy (not bad, but im never dizzy), slightly uneasy tummy, and bloated.

What do you think is going on with my body?

(((HUGS))) It sounds like your body might be still recovering from the m/c. It can take anywhere from one to a few cycles to get back to normal after m/c. You should still go and have your blood test, if anything it will confirm that all the hCG is out of your system.

From what I've read, hCG can mess with OPK's.

There is no set pattern as to how your cycle should be right now. My first cycle after m/c was only 16 days, then I got a really really heavy af and started a whole new cycle (I'm still waiting to see if I've O'd yet or not and it's been a whole month).

Are you charting at all?

Thanks for your opinion. I chart my cm, af, and symptoms, but i don't take my bbt. I think i will go have my levels checked tomorrow to make sure they went to 0.

Have you taken a hpt? If you had the actual m/c on Nov 13, I would count that as cd1. Assuming this is when you passed everything, did you bleed after? You can O as early as 2wks after the hcg is down to 0. I got a positive opk about 3days after my levels hit 0, and it was not a real O. The hormones are going crazy right now trying to correct themselves. I got another positive opk about 2wks after my levels hit O, and that was a real O, confirmed by my RE and FF. Give it some time, hopefully next cycle will be normal, and you can move on to trying if that is what you are wanting.

I have not taken a hpt. I heard that they pick up hcg levels of 20+, and since i was at 26 on the 5th, i think it might be a waste. Here is a little clearer time line of events.

Oct. 31- bleeding starts
Nov. 3- u/s shows nothing in my uterus. Level was 67.
Nov. 5- second draw shows levels at 26
Nov. 7- bleeding stops, started bding again
Nov. 13- ew cm, o pains
Nov. 15- neg opt
Nov. 16t- +opt, af style cramping, and tenderness (this is not normal for me around o time)

Coincidentally i just got an email from my OB reminding me that i should go in to make sure im back to 0, so i guess i will do that tomorrow. I will let you know the results. Hopefully i will be at 0. What would happen if i was not at 0? I shouldn't need a d&c since my uterus was empty on the 3rd right? If im still cramping tomorrow when i get my results i will ask my OB.

I would get my levels checked... Your cycle, your body and everything might take a few cycles to return to normal.. I know it is frustrating trying to understand what your body is doing. I am sorry that you have to go through that... KUP and ask questions.. hopefully we can help understand what eachother is going through.. HUGS.

Thanks ladies.

I had my levels re-checked today and they are back to normal. My OB said there is no need to re-check now. The cramping and tenderness is gone today. Im thankful for that because it had me a little concerned. I took another opt today and it was positive too. I guess its a waiting game now.

We are ready to get pregnant again, and have been bding every other day or so. I'm thinking i will count tomorrow as cd1?

My first thought was it sounds like you are Oing soon. If you are ready to try I say bd. You definitely could be Oing earlier than you normally would. And if you count cd 1 as the start of bleeding on Oct 31 then this lines right up with Oing now. From what I understand it is not the hcg dropping that triggers ovulation, but your progesterone dropping. Anyhow, good luck to you!
