Ok I'm a bit confused and need some advice. I never really had any heavy bleeding..just spotting and some light. It started to slack off a lot but I woke up Saturday morning to bright red heavy blood and starting having the normal period cramps, which I havent had after the d&c. So I assumed this was my first period since the procedure, but I'm testing positive on a HPT still?! It's a light line but it's there for sure. DH and I have only had sex once since the d&c and it was about a week ago. Ughh I'm so confused! What do you girls think? Thanks!

Well I went to the doc yesterday and the ultrasound showed I still had a lot of tissue left behind so he put me on Provera. If that doesn't get things rolling I have another med I will take. Ugh such a pain in the rear but I'm ready to have a period!! Anyway, Thanks for listening ladies

It could be you're still passing some of the pregnancy. I've never had a D&C. I mc'ed naturally. 4 weeks does seem a bit long to be getting a positive still. What kind of test are you using?

I had a D&C and tested + up until almost 4 weeks, AF showed around 5-6 weeks. I had very little bleeding at all after my D&C. I hope you get answers soon, it takes a while for your body to get back on track.

I only tested positve the first two weeks after d&c, and I only spotted the first day of d&c. My levels were over 100,000. If your still testing positve after 4wks, and had unprotected sex, I would call your dr. and get a beta hcg drawn. You might be down to the bare minimum on the levels (below 10), but I would make sure there was nothing left behind.

Any update from the Dr? I had a d/c... but i never tested after it. So I can't give any personal experiance for that. KUP... HUGS

I heard back from the doc and I have an appt. on Thursday morning early at 8:45. Even if everything is ok I will be glad to have gone and got checked out! I thought I would take one last HPT and thought what the heck I will do a OPK as well...



The OPK is at the top..HPT on the bottom. Not sure what to think but hopefully I will get some kind of answer on Thursday

Well an OPK can pick up HCG... So I would think to much of the OPK.. since I can see the line on the HPT..
